HSBC Live+ Credit Card Review | HSBC Cashback Credit Card Rebranded

Editor’s note: This is a recurring post, regularly updated with new information and offers. Last Updated 15th July, 2024.
HSBC revamped their Cashback Credit Card back in December 2023, and I would say it stood out as an exception in a season of brutal devaluations. Since earning points for travel is becoming increasingly difficult, many people are shifting to cashback credit cards to enhance their value back. Now, in July 2024, they have just rebranded their Cashback Credit Card as the Live+ Credit Card with a fresh design. In terms of benefits, nothing has actually changed.

Here's a quick review of this great credit card from HSBC Bank!

HSBC Bank is currently only offering their credit cards to salaried individuals that too very strictly. If you are a self-employed individual then you may try your luck by opening a premium bank account against a huge NRV.

TechnoFino Recommends

After the revaluation of the HSBC Cashback Credit Card back in December 2023, it became one of the best cashback cards for offline and online dining and grocery spends. The recent rebranding is just a name change to the Live+ Credit Card, but nothing has changed in terms of benefits. This is a simple, no-nonsense cashback card from HSBC Bank that caters to both groceries and dining at a flat 10% rate, which I would say is unprecedented. Earlier, Kotak was offering similar cashback on their Essentia and Delight Credit Cards with some conditions, but these have now been discontinued.

If you are looking for a great multi-utility card for all your grocery and dining spending then this card should be there in your wallet! Not to worry about the fees since in festive time reaching that upper cap on 10% cashback even for just one time will make your card free virtually for the year. This card is in direct competition with the HDFC Swiggy card now.

AFIK hsbc doesn't offer LTF CASHBACK CC and the best part of hsbc is after your card got approved within a week you will get a welcome call from hsbc regarding card fee and offers ongoing thats the best part of HSBC.
So I recently got the phone verification call, I understood that the guys who were advertising Cashback Card as LTF were blatantly misselling. In that verification call, they mentioned Platinum CC as what has actually been applied for.

I don't know if it is worth it to hold HSBC Platinum CC as I already have DCB and SBI Cashback anyways. So I didn't complete my VKYC yet.

some cc to bank apps are considered as utility and this is also considered in hsbc. I got 2000 on my platinum card for 20000 spends. although i used the card for genuine spends but you can also use those apps if you do not have any genuine spends to do.

I'm not heavy spender, and used my order card for most of monthly expenses.
SO was just checking on how to reach 10k spends limit to get joining benefit.

Need to pay about 5K maintaince bill, which we do via mygate app. Its showing as paytm payments utility

Hsbc platinum cc won't have any benifits. The only main benifit is it offer 10% CB upto 2k for first 60 dys
Just call the sales person who applied record the false commitment and complaint about it.

Just saw Cibil marketplace offering cashback card as First year free along with 750 annual charges (reversed on 1L spend). I have Have already applied via cashkaro and already been a week.
Would recommend anyone applying to apply vai Cibil app.

This seems to be outdated since 750rs annual fees was there for old cashback card along with FYF benefit till Aug. September onwards annual fees revised to 999rs after product level changes for this new card.

I need to apply HSBC CASHBACK CARD via Cashkaro (Rs 2000 Reward) as my spends of (Dining+Grocery+Food delivery) (Offline+Online) will be around 10k per month; Hope I will get Rs 1000 every month;

Will I get Rs 1000 Amazon voucher for spending 10k in 30 days?

Is there any other better offer than cashkaro?

How long did it take from apply date to delivery date? Were there any physical verification from bank?
No physical verification occurs.
Need to wait atleast 7 working days after the video kyc.
Mandatory to complete video kyc same day (otherwise link got expired and you have to wait for a call from hsbc for vkyc completion.)

I'm an existing card holder and I applied via cashkaro. There was no communication from bank end and customer service told me to wait for 21 working days for processing.
Don't know if they ask for kyc or just deliver the card to the mailing address.

4 Days, my process was a bit faster as I hold a corporate Salary account with HSBC and HSBC Plat. CC, hence a dedicated RM is assigned to the company, I just requested him, he sent out an email requesting some details no Vkyc, no forms etc, after days card was visible in bank app. 5th day physical card was delivered.

Cashback Card Approved today: -
- Already hold Platinum card from HSBC & applied for cashback card on 6th Dec via Cashkaro. (Cashkaro has tracked card application)
- Agent called on same day itself, No VKYC happened since existing card holder from HSBC. Only had to e-sign couple of PDFs and attach 3 documents in PDF itself.
- No further calls or updates till today, just randomly logged-in to HSBC Mobile app & can see Cashback card added along with existing Platinum card.

It seems HSBC like to give surprise to the applicants by delivering the card directly without any approval updates, etc. 🙂
