HSBC Live+ Credit Card Review | HSBC Cashback Credit Card Rebranded

Editor’s note: This is a recurring post, regularly updated with new information and offers. Last Updated 15th July, 2024.
HSBC revamped their Cashback Credit Card back in December 2023, and I would say it stood out as an exception in a season of brutal devaluations. Since earning points for travel is becoming increasingly difficult, many people are shifting to cashback credit cards to enhance their value back. Now, in July 2024, they have just rebranded their Cashback Credit Card as the Live+ Credit Card with a fresh design. In terms of benefits, nothing has actually changed.

Here's a quick review of this great credit card from HSBC Bank!

HSBC Bank is currently only offering their credit cards to salaried individuals that too very strictly. If you are a self-employed individual then you may try your luck by opening a premium bank account against a huge NRV.

TechnoFino Recommends

After the revaluation of the HSBC Cashback Credit Card back in December 2023, it became one of the best cashback cards for offline and online dining and grocery spends. The recent rebranding is just a name change to the Live+ Credit Card, but nothing has changed in terms of benefits. This is a simple, no-nonsense cashback card from HSBC Bank that caters to both groceries and dining at a flat 10% rate, which I would say is unprecedented. Earlier, Kotak was offering similar cashback on their Essentia and Delight Credit Cards with some conditions, but these have now been discontinued.

If you are looking for a great multi-utility card for all your grocery and dining spending then this card should be there in your wallet! Not to worry about the fees since in festive time reaching that upper cap on 10% cashback even for just one time will make your card free virtually for the year. This card is in direct competition with the HDFC Swiggy card now.

Is it free? Will card number will change? What about cashback?
your cashback will be paused for 2months after which you will get cashback posted

my suggestion don't shift just for visa signature. coz old card is considered visa signature though visa plat is printed

Tried and didnt work for old hsbc cashback bin
No reason to think, it will work for newer live+ card (unless bin changes)

If you have the old branded 'cashback' card, ask for a replacement and you will get with 'live+' card.
The advantage is that live+ is on VISA Signature and you will get Times prime subscription.
Is the times prime offer working on new sig card ? anyone tested ?

I had some wierd experience with HSBC.

Mine HSBC Live+ application got rejected after two weeks due to Company name mismatch even after mailing them to consider my company name as on payslip.

They didn't informed me about the application rejection in the first place I got to know this from their chat support.

Later on I sent an email to their complaints dept and have asked them about my application status again (complaints.india@hsbc.co.in), the very next day I got an update that my application has been approved and card was generated the same day.

But they made some spelling mistake in my name I think this they did because my application was first declined, later on they made changes in my name and processed the same declined application.

Not sure if they deliberately did this to save the Cashkaro commission as I had applied it thru Cashkaro.

If you applied only once, you'll get the cashkaro Cashback.

I applied in May end. My application didn't go through first time because my payslip didn't have the split ups that they asked. Customer care said my application was rejected. I gave up

After 1 month, I got a call asked for other bank credit card statement and my application was approved some 35 days after i applied.

I got the cashkaro Cashback as well

After HSBC coming live on BBPS I changed my phone and tried adding the card for tap and pay on GPay and its showing the below error.
1000046517.webp

The customer care is saying that due to rbi guidelines and bbps regulations you cannot add your card on gpay phone pay etc. for tap and pay due to some rbi guidelines. I don't think so its true for this as I am able to add other banks card.

Not true, Times prime membership is not working for HSBC Live+ card.
