From last Month Flipkart is tagging Correct MCC for Grocery Purchases.

So they Excluded Live+ so that double Dip do not happens. Also Swiggy HDFC do not give 5% on Grocery MCC.

Earlier it is Apparels but from last month Flipkart Tagging Correct MCC.

Observe the Merchant name too. It is "Flipkart Grocery" on OTP Page.
Harami Flipkart. I used Swiggy card on "Flipkart Grocery" merchant and then realized this now. Will use a gift voucher instead.

Thanks. So is the Rs 1000 cashback welcome benefit given to existing card holders as well or is it only for NTB customers? And VKYC is done again for existing customers?

1st ask to flip the card to cashback (I don't see any reason to keep Platinum).

If need both cards then process has to start from beginning and verification or vkyc depends on bank mood.

welcome benfits always for all, this existing rule only if applied through thirdparty referrals not direct applications.

Thanks. I want to use the Live+ for a year and see if it suits my needs. I want to keep the Platinum since it is LTF in case I decide to close the Live+.

Had a call with customer care just now. Magicpin 5499 confirm. However they say 5499 gets 1.5% only. Which clearly doesn't seem to be the case as Swiggy uses the same. Waiting for billing cycle. T&C is vague af.

Btw, Ola is 4121 (so Ola Food gets only 1.5%)

5499 you'll get 10% sure. Magicpin has two gateways only 1 provide 10% other default 1.5%.

HSBC relies on MCC if that is valid like 5499 you'll get 10%. Maybe some other place you got less cashback, do check statement again.

So I applied and got a message that someone from HSBC will contact me as I am an existing customer. Got a call that was tagged as Potential Spam and the person asked for PAN, address, personal, and salary details. I gave the details. He said no e-KYC will be done since I am an existing customer. He said that I will have to e-sign a pdf and share latest payslip, photo, and 1 month bank statement. The call got disconnected and I got another call that was auto blocked because it was flagged as Potential Fraud. I got this email (have cropped out the employee name). This is legit right?

Yes. These are third party official BPOs assigned by HSBC India like Viba BPO.
Similar process is for addon card application as well.
