Do you think you have a regular ICICI Bank credit card and an Amazon Pay ICICI Bank credit card with two different credit limits?
Actually, you are mistaken... ICICI Bank offers only one credit account for all its credit cards.
But because of different reward systems, you might get a different per-card limit on your ICICI Bank Amazon Pay Credit Card.
For example,
Suppose you have 3 ICICI Bank credit cards,
ICICI Amazon Pay Card with 4L limit.
ICICI Coral Credit Card with 8L limit
ICICI Sapphiro Credit Card with 8L limit
Now, on the iMobile app, you’ll see that Coral and Sapphiro card limits are shared, and the Amazon Pay card’s limit is different than that of the other two.
So if you use 2L from your Coral card, the available credit limit will automatically become 6L on your Sapphiro credit card. But you'll not see any change in the available limit on your Amazon Pay Card.
But actually, you can spend a maximum of 8L using all your ICICI Bank credit cards, including Amazon Pay Card.
The maximum credit limit on any ICICI Bank card is the aggregate total credit limit.
You can't transfer the credit limit from your Amazon Pay card to a regular ICICI Bank card or vice versa. But you can request ICICI Bank to remove the per card limit and match the credit limit on Amazon Pay and regular ICICI Bank credit cards.
For this, you need to send an email to ICICI Bank & request them to match your Amazon Pay card limit with ICICI regular cards or vice versa.
The required email ID is available here- All Bank Credit Card Department Email ID & Phone No

My Case-
My ICICI Bank Emeralde Credit Card's limit is 10L and My Amazon Pay Card limit was 5.7L
I requested ICICI Bank to remove per-card limit.
Now, my Amazon Pay card limit is 10L.

Yes, I matched last week. But customer care said they can't match. So I mailed to pno and they matched it
I got below reply on Twitter and similar one earlier from CC. Next I will try PNO method.

Hi, we would like to inform you that as per Bank's internal norms if a customer holds more than one credit card, the limit of all the cards gets merged as an aggregate limit. Further, please be advised that, an individual credit card will have a predefined limit upto which the same shall be used for spent. Regards, Team Axis Bank.

I have apay 10L and just applied for sapphiro LTF. After getting the sapphiro, I will use this method to get combined limit of 10L. But that mean total i can use 10L using 2 cards right? Not 20L?

If it is separate limit - say sapphiro is 4L and apay 10L, then can I use total 14L using 2 cards?

Pls someone clarify.

It will be shared not separate.

Most probably, they'll give the same limit as Apay. Maybe higher if your income changed than previously stated.

thanks.
It will be shared not separate.
Then it makes sense to make the limit combined. in that case i can use 10L for either of the cards. If one is 4L and another is 10L, i can use only 4L in the smaller card. And even total I can use only 10. (If I use 4L from smaller card, then I will have remaining 6L only in the other card.)
Thanks.

I have Apay with 50k limit and Sapphiro/Coral with 3L.

The limits are separate as when I spend on gemstone cards the available limit does not change on apay and vice-versa.

That means total you can use 3.5L right. If you finish 3L in gemstone card, still 50k is remaining in apay card?

Couldn't believe I did this 😂

See here, it is better not to combine the limits if you want to use the card separately and enjoy the full total limit.

For e.g
Say someone has APAY 10L and CORAL 3L =

CASE 1: Do not combine: He can use 10L in APAY and 3L in coral = TOTAL = 13L
CASE 2: Combine Limits: He can use a total of 10L from both APAY and coral together. TOTAL = 10L

CASE 2 = he can use in various ways - 10L APAy and 0 Coral, OR 0 APAy & 10L coral OR 5L each OR any combination.
It is not beneficial if you see the total usage limit available.

Hope I am right. [See replies below. This is not correct it seems.]

Given a choice I would definitely go with combining the limits your point of having higher usable limit is true but combining provides higher flexibility.

In my case I cannot make a big ticket purchase with my Apay but can do so via sapphiro

That is not the case. Do any transaction and then check the email you receive.

In that, it'll be CLEARLY mentioned your total available credit limit, which will be Highest Available Limit - Utilisation of Card A - Utilisation of Card B

Oh OK. Got it, thanks. I will check the statement once all cards are up and running for me. Thanks again. Sorry for the confusion.

I have apay card limit as 8.2L and other card account (gemstones combined) as 10L. Not sure if anything is shared or both are really separate (as total 18.2L). Anyway since I have pretty good enough limit on either case, not going to ask to remove per card limit. It does not matter much to me anyway as I would probably never spend that much using ICICI cards.
