ICICI Bank Account for Credit Card

Hi,

I've been wanting to get a Credit Card from ICICI Bank, I've tried 2-3 times to no avail, I don't have salary slip right now, and so I'm thinking of opening an account in ICICI Bank to get Credit Card offers, just like I opened an account in HDFC Bank (started getting credit card offers, yet to apply) at the start of this year. I have around 1L lying around in my bank account which I'll pay Credit Card bill later.

So, my question was, should I open zero balance account in ICICI or regular saving account with 10K MAB? Asking from pre-approved offers perspective. As far as I'm concerned, I'm more inclined towards zero balance account, but if it hinders me from getting Credit Card offers, I'd happily take 10K MAB regular savings account.

In my case, they didn't reject my applications but they didn't process my application it was on the air. I'll upload my payslip and bank statement but I'll get the error tomorrow as bank statement is password protected or payslip is not clear. But both errors are not true. I'll call and yell at apay cc and they'll say it's rejected but I can see the option to upload my documents. How can they lie that my application was rejected but it was not rejected actually. that's why I never believe apay cc

To know the genuine info, always connect to twitter handle 'ICICI Bank Cares'. Tell them your application no. & they'll tell you the actual status of your application. If your application is still active, tell them your issue and they'll call you back with the resolution.

No, it was the issue. I got the card in June. But I was very frustrated from July 2022 to May 2023 as i can't complete the application after many tries. It was in middle stage. They were not rejecting or approving also. I was expecting for a decision atleast

Yes, you could say 1.5 years, as I initially tried getting it on 2 February 2022, then 4 September 2022. Thought of trying to get ICICI Platinum credit card instead, applied and got call from them, unfortunately they requested income proof and I didn't have any, bank statements wouldn't work either.

Finally tried for the 3rd time now, and got approved!
