ICICI Bank Account for Credit Card

crazyuploader

Hi,

I've been wanting to get a Credit Card from ICICI Bank, I've tried 2-3 times to no avail, I don't have salary slip right now, and so I'm thinking of opening an account in ICICI Bank to get Credit Card offers, just like I opened an account in HDFC Bank (started getting credit card offers, yet to apply) at the start of this year. I have around 1L lying around in my bank account which I'll pay Credit Card bill later.

So, my question was, should I open zero balance account in ICICI or regular saving account with 10K MAB? Asking from pre-approved offers perspective. As far as I'm concerned, I'm more inclined towards zero balance account, but if it hinders me from getting Credit Card offers, I'd happily take 10K MAB regular savings account.

Regards.

NO Income proof needed. how much is your CIBIL anyway? and how many cards you have?
CIBIL is 772 (latest I checked in GPay), down from 780, and for credit cards I have —

1. SBI SimplySAVE Credit Card: 1L (up from initial 56K)
2. Axis Bank ACE Credit Card: 30K (up from initial 15K)
3. SBI Cashback Credit Card: 20K
4. IDFC Bank WoW Credit Card: 10K (FD)

Couple of closed cards, such as OneCard Lite Credit Card (SBM Bank, upped CL to 21.5K), Kotak Mahindra DreamDifferent Credit Card (15-16K FD as far as I remember), and some chapri so called CCs, LazyPay (20K), Slice (35K), all closed now.

Some active BNPL includes PayTM Postpaid: 3K (upped from 750 INR), Amazon Pay Later: 20K (upped from 3-4K).

P.S. Not a single late payment till date.

you are good to go...

BTW: Close those blo*dy BNPLs . they are bringing your CIBIL down... They are poisonous, not good for your creditworthy healthiness.....

I think even last time it was declined because it's bit cluttered, clean it buddy.
You don't these BNPLs when you have proper credit cards.
Should be approved with a limit around 1l.

Right. I've stopped using BNPLs completely, PayTM Postpaid might make sense as it's convenience to pay through it, though there's convenience charges, so nevermind. Tried getting Kiwi and got fifi; didn't get it 😆

Yes BNPLs aren't required anymore, will try to close them tomorrow. For PayTM Postpaid it's ABFL, and for Amazon Pay Later it's CapFloat and Karur Vysya. Started with PayTM Postpaid with only 750 INR, crazy how I got so far without giving away any income proof 😎

Not IMPS but NEFT as former one is chargeable in this account. After opening Account, just go to NetBanking portal and select "Get User ID". You'll get the User ID & then create the password for the same.

Then login to iMobile app using NetBanking and you'll be able to see your virtual Debit card after 12-20 hours. Through this, create UPI PIN and send money. Otherwise choose NEFT if you want.
Isn't there any limit for first few hours when we add beneficiary? And UPI route would surely be 1-2 days as first 24 hours = 5K limit

These aren't much
Hehe, I only had my eyes on an HDFC Bank Credit Card lately so didn't bother to apply and recently missed on a few ICICI Bank CC deals which made me want to try to get a hold on an ICICI Bank Credit Card, thought Amazon Pay ICICI would be easier to get.

RBL Bank: Because someone called me to apply for their shoptight CC, I did and it never proceeded as I never got any link for video KYC.

Federal Bank: Due to that LTF offer, hell didn't work.

Azis Bank & Azis Bank: Initially applied for MyDome LTF CC, the KYC guy came and chit chatted more than I should've, he said I can get Airtel Axis Bank CC offline, he can directly apply, which I was more interested in, I proceeded with it instead, resulted in yet another CIBIL hit. In the end, both application got rejected, got none.

IDFC Bank: Got FD Card then.

So far total 18 enquiries I guess, in about ~2 years.
