Got sms today that we are unable to approve your Credit Card Application. Please re-apply after 6 months from the date of your current application. Any idea on the rejection or how to know the rejection reason.

Were you an alumnus or a student? (I.e. you uploaded your degree or id card? I suppose you're part of the listed colleges)
 
After one week, Finally rcvd one call from ICICI agent (ADITI) 🤭
Took all the details, everything went smoothly.
Aadhar Verification done successfully.
Video KYC completed successfully.

Now the wait begins.

After Video KYC again one call came to confirm whether VKYC has been addressed successfully or not.

Just a small kick in the application, I was neither at my residence address nor at office address. At a third place and did KYC 🤣 Don't know what will the consequence of this.

There might be an issue of IP address, as they capture IP address and maybe your location as well during KYC.

Yeah they asked the reason of IP difference which I told and they he proceeded with the KYC process.

Same case was with me when I did Axis ACE VKYC and StanC KYC, both were approved.
I think no issue would be there, will have to see.

Already have Wealth A/C with ICICI and 2-3 CCs in ICICI.

I uploaded my BTech degree, wierd enough today after the rejection sms, got call for physical verification.
Turns out he is the same person who did my verification 10 days ago for AU Zenith. He could be a third party vendor for physical verification.
He said that once the application reaches the physical verification step, it generally gets accepted. So, I am confused now.
One thing could be that the backend of ICICI is very screwed which I have seen way too much in this thread happening to other people.

What more to verify after decline... What did you say to the physical verify guy?

Its your right to know the rejection reason. In case bank is not able to provide the reason you can reach out to RBI Ombudsman for resolution.

Nothing just the standard details, house is rented, people I am living with, how long I am living here and one or two questions which I don't remember. But the template was same as AU Zenith.
Could be that their back end system is not synced as my application earlier wasn't visible in the application status link and from what others have posted and what the verification guy said, I think I would get the card hopefully.

Got two calls today. First one had a hiccup intially but was fine later. Unfortunately was not in a position to talk so asked for a call back. They called 2 hours later but this time again no voice and then call disconnected.
