ICICI Car loan

Hi everyone, need some help.

I just checked my ICICI car loan statement and found multiple penalties have been imposed like additional interest and bounce charges!

While I always pay either on 1st of every month or before that, still they have deducted ₹944 many times.

Along with that, they also charged randomly ₹67, ₹48, ₹202 citing additional interest.

Anyone having this info, can pls clarify me.

*They have collected cheques from me multiple times for setting NACH mandate for auto-pay but never done. Always says, only possible if u have icici account.
So I manually pay.

OMG !!! you haven't noticed for an year ? Only way is to contact them via CS and escalation matrix .

They would have provided zero balance account with car loan or u would have been upgraded to wealth status.

Contact icici on Twitter.

Talk to Bm and ask his cluster head Email..
It should be solved
Time taking but not tedious

I was aware that some bounce charges have been imposed earlier, but the loan guy told me it will be reversed, so never cross checked.

My dad also took car loan via icici bank and amount get deducted from hdfc on 6th of every month so setting up NACH isn’t an issue and icici account isn’t mandatory either. Now how did you downloaded this thing cause I would also check if there any additional charges on the statement.

@Anupama_Jha I have never taken a loan in my life, so no idea about charges.

But logically, you should be able to file complain about it to bank and later raise with RBI if you don't find any appropriate solution.

My dad also took car loan via icici bank and amount get deducted from hdfc on 6th of every month so setting up NACH isn’t an issue and icici account isn’t mandatory either. Now how did you downloaded this thing cause I would also check if there any additional charges on the statement.

My dad had same with ICICI and autopay from hdfc, never had to pay any extra charges.
And my sister has autopay for personal loan from hdfc from her icici salary account, no issues either.

But this autopay was since the beginning of loan, and no changes were ever made, not sure how it's activated on old loans

There are multiple reasons for these charges:
1. The amount is not paid on the due date. Either you were unable to pay on time or cheque was being collected but not reflected in your account.
2. On few instances the charges were levied, but you have paid the EMI amount only. So interest on these charges are levied.
3. Since you have not activated autopay feature, so again nmmp charges are levied. NACH is not possible if you have account with the same bank, however, every bank has a autopay feature available. You must have opted for autopay feature.

Also, check your CIBIL whether the bank has reported delayed in the payment?
