ICICI charged fuel surcharge on Rupay UPI transaction

ICICI seems to be charging a fuel surcharge on UPI fuel transactions now. I have used this RuPay card for fuel a couple of times before, and this is the first time I am being charged on the ICICI Coral RuPay card.

This was at an HP fuel station, and I have used this card at Indian Oil, Jio, and MRPL before. I haven't tried any recently.

Hey everyone,
I've been doing some digging into fuel payments using UPI Scan & Pay with my RuPay cards and I've found something.

Currently Holding Four Rupay Cards
1) Tata Neu
2) Axis Indian Oil
3) Coral Rupay
4) SBI SimplySave

With Tata Neu and Coral, I'm not seeing any surcharge + GST added at all! It means I don't have to rely on those "surcharge waiver" benefits that other cards offer (which get reflected in the statement later anyway).

On the other hand, with SBI SimplySave and Axis Indian Oil, I'm getting hit as usually we get with the standard fuel surcharge + GST (though they...

Yes, these charges are added in my statement also. How much duration they can go back and charge us? I have many debit entries which seems like fuel surcharge for a few months and GST on it
