ICICI Coral RuPay Railway Longue Access

Has any one used Coral RuPay credit card in Chennai newly started (in Feb 2024) Railway Longue. I see people holding Coral RuPay card in the queue. I am not sure if they paid the amount or availed free longue access.

Ticket is compulsory it is mentioned in T&C a valid ticket must be presented. In Chennai longue they ask ticket and ID proof even if you are paying money to access lounge. Those lounges are dedicated for railway passengers only.

It depends on the lounge partner. It doesn't matter to them if you have a ticket or not, if you don't avail lounge access they don't get paid. So, they encourage more customers to visit the lounge.

Yes meal is included. Longue staff will monitor if you use recliner or pods and you end up paying money. You can't defend or deny in that situation.

I visited once Ahmedabad Railway station in morning 8 am breakfast is served only once single plate and tea for coffee and water they were asking payment

No problem. Platform ticket is not necessary but you can have it. In fact, why to spend ₹10 for platform ticket when you can just get any local train ticket at ₹5.


One interesting thing about Kolkata Sealdah lounge, is that, it is located outside the ticketing zone. So, you can legally enter the lounge without any ticket if you are coming from outside.

Platform is not a valid train ticket. If they find out people are misusing the services they might altogether stop longue access.

Food is unlimited. Maybe people are using that specific longue for food without a train ticket.

Normally lounges are crowded so they might only allow pasangers with ticket to avoid overcrowding. Also they put one person near washroom entrance cuz shower is a paid service.

If it's listed on the Bank's website or Dreamfolks Web

1. Do they check any PNR, ID Card and Name in the Card vs the actual person?
2. Is the food unlimited (like airport) or, fixed 1X Tea / Coffee + 1X Thali?

food unlimited? In Sealdah they only provide a thali(veg/non veg) and a cup of tea

nothing they will just swipe your card and approve. Other family members/friends can also use your card. You can also book online and show qr.(talking about sealdah)
