How do I add my mothers' account to mine under family banking? I contacted her branch but they are trying to get me to open a brand new wealth account for her instead of linking her existing account to my Wealth account 😒
 
Call the customer care and ask for branch BM's name and mail. Send a properly worded mail to your BM and wait a couple of days for resolution. If they don't resolve your issue then post it on Twitter tagging their handles and quote you have already contacted the branch head and received no proper response. Twitter support will then take care of your issue and your BM's life would be made difficult until the issue is not resolved. This process has worked for me in the recent past to get my work done in ICICI, hope it helps you too.

Yes I went through the posts and understood that ICICI may just show black color for any account, just to fool people. For me, when I login to net banking, the left corner says ICICI Wealth Management. Also the monthly statement PDF shows the same.

I saw in imobile app, there is option to request for family banking, and there are 2 options when I proceed - Wealth and Private. Have not proceeded after this step.


Mine is a 0 balance WM salary account. So there is no NRV requirement. I will get it confirmed with the customer care email, 18001080, and branch. (Pathetic that we need 3-4 points of confirmation because what 1 person says will not be what another one says).
I had the exact same situation. I asked RM who wanted to come home to push products.

I did it in Netbanking just last week. I selected wealth and added here. It just happened within a day. My wife received email giving 7 days if she wishes to opt out. Else it is automatically added.
 
@cardio_guy Was your problem resolved and you were able to link your spouse' account with your WM account?

No. They told me that my wealth banking is salary account-based (0 balance). They can only add a family member to wealth banking if I meet the criteria of minimum balance and other requirements. However, I just received another PPT from my company stating that they have the feature of extending wealth banking to family members. I will call another representative to confirm. I was just thinking about this and then I saw your message!

So here's what happened. It's a bit complicated, but basically, I decided to drop the plan.

1. My wife opened a 0 balance savings account with ICICI online when she applied for an Amazon Pay ICICI credit card. I confirmed with the bank that it's a privilege variant account and I have got a Rupay Platinum debit card for it. This card can be used for Rupay offers and lounge access. [Don't know if there is any AMC charge for the debit card, will find out that]

2. I have a 0 balance wealth management salary account.

To create a family banking account, I went to the Bangalore Embassy Tech Village branch and the staff gave me a form to fill out and submit to generate a family banking ID. However, when I specifically asked if my wife's account would also become a wealth management account, she called some other executives and finally confirmed that it would require the approval of the branch head to add it to family banking. Even in that case, it wouldn't be a wealth management account and I would need to apply separately to upgrade her account to wealth.
When I compared the benefits of what we both have separately to what wealth management is offering, it didn't seem useful to just upgrade and link it to family banking.
Ideally, as someone mentioned here earlier, a 0 balance wealth account is not the true wealth management account. ICICI only considers accounts that meet their TRV criteria as wealth accounts. But I'm not interested in any further offerings, so I've closed this chapter.
 
I have salary wealth account with icici. I tried to add my brother who is privilege icici savings account by requesting family id using imobile app but request got closed within 7 hrs. Called customer care they said I have salary wealth account hence request cannot be completed and visit nearest branch. any experience around this issue?

I am seeing issue from last Saturday.

I transferred both my & wife account from their opened place to nearest branch on Friday through imobile.

On Saturday, I visited the branch & asked for family 360 enrollment --> one of the lady said sir you can do it over imobile & she took my phone & enrolling me in wealth. Then I shouted & said no I want family 360 & not family wealth. After hearing this no one responding me.

Then I called the customer care in bank itself & shared my concern --> customer care agent asked me to give the phone to any executive there --> I asked almost 3 people & no one took it includes DPM.

Then finally 1 guy took the call & conveyed that he will be helping me --> after that helping executive told me that sir you have salary account & we can't give family 360 to salary account --> I said no, I am not agree with your words (I knew this since I already read all terms & conditions) & even shown him the proof. He asked me to wait for a day & he will get back to me.
I waited till next day afternoon but no revert from him --> I called him again in afternoon & he said sir give me 30 mins I will call you back --> till 2 hrs no call from him.

Now, I got frustrated & mailed all PNO, customer.care@icicibank.com, escalation team, posted on "X" multiple times. In addition, visited the branch & shouted on that guy like anything in front of DPM, customers ...

I clearly said, I am going to record the video of the bank including manager cabin showing he is not available from last 2 days. They took me to manager cabin & asked me to wait for 30 mins & offered me chai, cooldrinks ...

Now, after 30 mins someone from higher management came to me (above to manager) & conveyed me sir give me 3 hrs I will hash this out & at 6:00 PM you will get the call from this branch manager.

At around 6:10 PM I got a call & tada!!!!! --> he asked me to visit tomorrow with all the docs & persons you want to enroll in family 360. He still said that we can't give Family 360 to salary account then again I mailed him with PNO & all officials.

Next day I visited & the branch manager asked me why you want Family 360 --> it's not like he is asking to check my needs but asking for him what's the benefit of family 360 --> he told me this plan is newly launched so no info for them.

And I won ....

These days bank employees don't have much updated info nearly all banks. They know nothing, as per recent experiences. What's happening in this sector god knows.

My SR was closed 2 days back with no comments. I reached to DPM & she said sir I checked the status & it closed without any comments that means it processed successfully.

Till yet, I am not seeing any change in UI or anywhere else can see family banking program. I saw people comments here that it may take 15 days also to get it reflected.

Main question is --> Do I need to request for Family benefits KIT or they will send it on it's own ??
My DPM said --> wait for 15 days & if you won't get then we will raise the request from here.

Just want to know how it was for you guys ?? sauravkumar ashwink jack333

My wife has salary account & My account converted from Salary to unfunded Privilege account.

They 1st said we can't give family banking to salary account --> I straight forward over his face said no..... you're wrong & I am not align with your words.
After too much fight in bank (I shouted in bank, scolded them saying will record video & ....) --> They converted to Family banking (as per SR DPM confirmation).

Buddy you need to put some efforts --> It's not good bank I can say

For wealth family banking aggregate amount in all the accounts should be 25l. Easier way is to open new wealth account separately for every member which they open with 1l funding also

My account already upgraded to Family banking as per DPM

You'll receive a pouch, cheque book and mc world dc automatically. App update takes around a week
