ICICI Fastag Fuel Payment Direct

After ICICI disabled fuel transactions for all via the ICICI FasTag +HP Pay route, I mailed ICICI bank to activate that. ICICI Bank confirmed activating the same but still, it was showing disabled in my account. I confirmed with them again and they asked me to ignore what's showing online and use my Fastag for fuel payments.

Since HP Pay is unreliable when it comes to payments via Fastag I asked the Pump guy to deduct via my Fastag directly. The attendant at the HPCL pump brought in a special PayTM pos and the procedure was as follows.

1) Click on Sale
2) Select Fuel Type
3) Select Fastag Sale
4) Enter Amount
5) Select Bank
6) Enter the last four digits of the vehicle number
7) Punch in the OTP
And it's done. The good thing is that now you can recharge your ICICI Fastag directly from Amazon Pay without any convenience fees! This should work even for IDFC Bank fastags.\

Which one In chandigarh? name & location of pump as most of the salesperson are neither aware nor interested in taking one more step.

I tried in pos of hpcl it was saying fuel transaction is disabled on this Fastag. Called cust care they said it's enabled on our side and those who raised complaint got resolved. Are you guys able to do transaction on pos?

Fastag payments work only in HPCL as of now

I took IDFC First Bank FASTag from Park+ more than an year ago and it's been lying with me. This month only, I purchased a car and they've issued IDBI Bank FASTag with Rs. 300 balance in it along with Rs. 200 as security deposit.

I would like to use IDFC First Bank FASTag for the convenience of using the FASTag balance for fuel purchases via HP Pay app at HPCL fuel pumps as I do have a two-wheeler as well.

If I close IDBI Bank FASTag, how will I get back security deposit? Will the Rs. 300 balance also be refunded or will it be gone?
IDFC First Bank FASTag is more than an year old and was never activated, will it be activated or do I need to get another one?

I'm new to all this, please guide me.
