I have tried Opening current account (proprietorship) in ICICI. The first branch I visited asked me a time of one day. Took my udyam and labour certificates of the business, when I contacted them next day that person told that his manager just informed him that they stopped taking proprietorship accounts. Then I visited another nearby branch, the employee looked at me dead in the eye and told "you have to maintain minimum balance of 1 lakh", I replied "I thought it was only 50k ( which doesn't matter because I'd usually maintain quite a good amount as balance) and then she stuttered and was like 50k is MAB but you have to maintain 1L.
I was like it doesn't Matter just do the needful. She took my business docs via WhatsApp and told they will visit today. And then I waited, no one showed up, then used my contacts to get it done, a senior officer called that branch( idk what he spoke with them) she immediately called and was like ( Sir, can I get an appointment with you tomorrow, I will be visiting tomorrow with my branch manager to your business place). I was like sure , I will be waiting. The next day they visited, nothing in hands , No documents , No Signatures from me. They spoke and discussed about my business, they were like we will update you in a day, we will submit the application and put it for approval but if that doesn't happen it's not in our hands. And then they left called me after two days and told sir the application was not approved. First thing * I have recently opened an account with hdfc , they came all prepared took a selfie with me , clicked my business sign board's photo and took my signature and business stamps on their docs and told that we will be submitting the application for approval. It did get approved and got my current account. But my question here is How can they lie that they submitted the application without taking any selfie and business signboard photo or my signatures and blatantly lie about not being approved on my face ,why is ICICI being so rude with their customers, what are they not showing interest to open current account, why do I have to use contacts to make them give me a visit ( I could have contacted someone who is kind of holds a very big position in ICICI but I thought why should I run behind it when hdfc was calling me constantly to get my appointment and open an account), anyways what'sup with ICICI? It was a bad experience with them, I think even if they come begging me in the future I wouldn't be opening shit with them. Very disappointed.
