"Hello, I've been receiving calls from the ICICI credit card selling department for the past two months, offering to upgrade my Coral card to a Shapiro card with a first-year-free (FYF) promotion. I declined the FYF offer, but today I received another call offering the Shapiro card (Dual Mastercard and Amex) with a lifetime-free (LTF) promotion. The person on the call only stated my residential pin code, which I confirmed. However, I'm still unsure if the call was genuine. Could you please confirm? The phone number that called me was +912269041066."

Same here!! Mine is 17th November 2025 so thinking to pay on 21st October and call icici cause we can't close cc using their app I guess.

is there a way I can extend my sappiro card tenure to another 1 yr for FYF?

My card is FYF and in nov they will charge fee again.

So I will either cancel or if they extend the offer, I might continue.

nope, not yet. Afaik, icici doesn't do retention, I have called before to close my few cards, they just usually close it.

Got my Sapphiro Rupay LTF sanctioned today. Will make it easier for me to close down Coral Rupay LTF and Paid Emeralde now.

I clicked the LTF card ad in Facebook. Go redirected to ICICI LTF Cards link. Next day got a call from ICICI Cards team. They told me they can provide Sapphiro Rupay as LTF but not any other network variant for my profile. They created a new card application in iLens on 19th October and today it is sanctioned. Got card application soft copy where Joining and Annual Fees are both NIL. Card number is now generated and visible in Net banking.

Yes CIBIL enquiry was there since it was not pre approved. In fact card upgradation option was removed after I got Emeralde card. Yes they took income proofs.
