IDFC First Bank Blocking Debit Card Reward Portals Again in 2025: What’s Going On?

Thanks. All of a sudden I am feeling so happy and positive about earning and redeeming RP on my IDFC DC 🙂

Earlier I used to feel guilty that the bank is innocent and I should not be doing so

In this debate I can only see this credit card payments with debit cards will get closed sooner than later.

Though I won't be affected directly, indirect impacts will definitely be there. It will increase pressure on other banks like SBI et al.
I feel they're gonna reduce the reward rate. 1% is sustainable, I guess.

I didn’t wanted to redeem was saving for reliance or Vijay sales since it not available via new portal so went with Amazon voucher didn’t knew if my rp was blocked or not. Had only 1.3L till now always paid my own damn bill plus trv and private I knew I had nothing to worry and I was right. Redeemed for 10,000 asv gave 40k and hopefully 99+gst doesn’t get charged even though I haven’t paid same for first tap yet. For cc processing fees was charged though. So let c.
