Man your card was issued in 2023. How can they provide you "welcome" rewards in 2025?

IDFC Welcome points bonus are valid on txn of Rs.1000 and above and it doesn't matter whether it is your first txn or 2nd or nth. You get welcome benefits even after 10 txns if that is your first with amount 1000 and above.

This welcome bonus is given with FirstTap or every new card. But it doesn't means some people misuse it to get replacement card like they did with Axis.

I did transaction but got only base rewards. Any idea when will I get welcome rewards?

Which Debit card use for Credit Card bill payment in Feb & March 2025:

1) IDFC Debit cards: All IDFC account holder apply 2nd debit card - Add-on IDFC Firstap Sticker RuPay Platinum Debit Card.

You will get same reward points and 10x reward points benefit as per your account variant - Normal/General, Select, Wealth and Private account.

Apply 2nd IDFC Debit card ( primary visa/mastercard card + this add-on RuPay card both will coexist) from IDFC app, under your debit card section.

My card was issued in 2023, and I got welcome points of 2000 in 2024 coz I never used their card in 2023.

Naah bro, I actually many times used my debit card for 500 rs trxn in 2023 or even 800, not never I did 1000. In 2024, I did 1000+ trxn and I got welcome points. I don't think it is about a trxn for "first time".

But when I went to wealth/1st tap, I never risked this, and did 1000+ trxn only and got pts.

I am not saying it isn't written in t&c. I am just sharing my experience.

If someone wants to check, they can perform any trxn less than 1k and then do 1k+ trxn after 4-5 days and check if they get welcome rewards or not.

I can show u my statement too to confirm this.

Someone has already confirmed before ur post today in this thread that reward points are getting credited for transaction above 1000 be it first or nth transaction......

However if ppl get reward points even if they have done transactions before july 14 2023 also then idfc needs to amend that

Wait upto 30 days.

Canara setu is now not eligible but your old transaction "Retail CC" merchant name, you will get rewards.

Received points for March1st Transaction.
Used Phonepay+Rupay
