IDFC First Bank launched its debit card reward system recently. Now you'll earn reward points for spending money using your IDFC First Bank debit card.

Reward system for IDFC First Bank normal debit card-
2000 welcome reward points on first debit card transaction above Rs. 1000
Online transaction- earn 2 reward points for every Rs. 100 spend
Offline transaction- earn 1 reward point for every Rs. 100 spend
10X reward points (10 reward points per Rs. 100) for every Rs. 100 spent via debit card on incremental spends above Rs. 20,000 in a month.

I hold IDFC Signature debit card and recently paid my CC bills through it by cheq but did not receive any rewards.
Then I contacted my home branch, they suggested that in order to be a part of this reward system you will have to close your IDFC Signature DC and get a IDFC Visa Platinum DC (which is actually a downgraded version) by calling Customer care support.
I then made a call to customer support and spoke to their escalation team for better insights and they said that the reward system has not gone live yet and they don't have any communication that when it will be effective.

Anyone if receiving rewards on their IDFC DC spends then please update here as I really don't want to miss out on those. TIA!

Program hasn't yet started. Only welcome points have been credited as of now.

basically nobody in a customer facing role in the bank has any idea regarding debit card rewards portal situation

Has anyone been able to receive points on further transactions other than the welcome points? I did receive welcome 8000 points but no more points post that.

Also I couldn't find any reward points information on their website. From where did we get above information? Or has it been removed recently from the website.

I just logged in and checked, had 4000 pts. Redeemed for 1K amazon pay voucher. I think it's the welcome bonus for select debit card. I got upgraded to select last month. There is no history of points. Will have to wait and check the points for transactions. Will update here if i get any.

You have to first get your account upgraded to select through your RM or branch manager and they send the DC automatically. I have a salary account with them. Sal ~2L

The beta banner is gone. It also says only transactions done post 14 July are eligible for rewards. Haven't tried this though.
