IDFC Select to Wealth upgrade

Hi, I have IDFC savings bank account under Select banking program.

I learned in this forum that if one can deposit 10L+ in savings account then it can be upgraded to Wealth account. Can anyone tell me for how long one needs to deposit 10L+ fund to get eligible for the upgrade for existing Select customers?

Well they replied and told 5L is required 🤣

On papers it is 10L, recently they have come down to 5L.

My account was upgraded to wealth before three months of maintaining the required balance. Got the dc too. RM says wealth CC offer can be generated only after three months. Is this true? IDFC doesn't seem to be consistent in its policy.
The first ever pos transaction of more than 1k gets 8k rps. Should it be the first ever txn or any transaction within 30 days which is of more than 1k value? There is no clarity in the mailer they sent, just mentioned first txn and 1k. 30 days period limit is also not mentioned.

CC doesn't have relation to savings acc. Also the wealth cc lost its charm. Currently its only good for jewelery. One of the few cards that give 1.6% albeit 0.5% for the first 20K.

The first ever txn of 1K and above within 30 days . If you spend less than that then its gone.

Correct !!! IDFC be like I Don't Feel for Customer. This is the main reason I joined this forum to understand IDFC's cryptic things.

I am aiming for the cc for bms BOGO offer. Select cc bms BOGO offer is useless. I didn't know about the 1.6% value back for jewelry purchase. Good one I feel. I can then throw away my paid tata neu infinity card

Don't throw Tata Neu. For edu fee it rewards.

Really? Should it be pos or UPI or online txn? Thanks a bunch @HumorSimpson for the revelation.

Both are ok and give 1.5%. The obvious 500 coin limit still exists on UPI. Online payment must be thru school website only, 3rd party apps give 0 rewards .
Note : All HDFC personal cc cards still reward edu and gold.

now once you opt for this and in the future if you want to maintain 10 lakhs for wealth upgrade then it would be difficult i think cause I'm waiting for 3 month (maintaining the required amount to be maintained for wealth upgrade) to be over so i can request again (even though i had a word with someone from nearest branch say sir we need 75 lakhs for wealth upgrade). so thought i should let you know.

i think it asks but it is optional so yeah head over in your free time to the nearest IDFC branch and have a word with them.
