If you have booked tickets through indigo website or app, no need to add manually. Points get added automatically. Plus there are some additional bonus points as well for using the own site.

Only for OTAs we need to add retro claim. And no bonus points as well. Just the base points

yes definitely. Use OTA to book and just add base bluchips using retro claim.
Because bluchips are not worthy compared to other better rewarding options. Treat this just like a cherry on top.
Using Indigo to get base + bonus bluchips is not worth at the moment.
