IndusInd EazyDiner FYF by closing existing Legend card. Suggestions?

I got an offer from ED on WhatsApp, FYF IndusInd ED card. I signed up and showed interest through app. I just got a call from them, but here is the issue.

I got a LTF IndusInd Legend card, which is 10 months old, with a meagre limit of 75k. Even after requesting to increase the limit, or match the credit limit with other cards like Magnus which has 5-7lacs, they rejected it. Now ED representative told me existing IndusInd card should have at least 1.5Lacs to share the limit with ED card. If not then I must close the Legend card first, wait for 15 days cooling period, and then call him again to apply for the card. He offered to give FYF even after 15-20 days.

After cooling period, he will take request for the card, if it goes through CIBIL, then no income docs required, if not, then card-to-card can also be done.
Although ED doesn't have any restaurants in my tier-2 hometown, I do use it when I travel. I have ED Prime, and I have used it with Axis Magnus 5-6 times to get 1k off on a bill of 2.5k, but - if I am not wrong - with ED card I'll be able to get 25% off on bills less than 2.5k as well. I saved 5-6k directly on those transactions, which is a pretty good deal; but this 1k off on 2.5k bill is limited to twice per month only. Is it worth getting this card for bills less than 2.5k?

Should I just close the Legend card, and apply for FYF ED card after 15-20 days?

Just a query Magnus card gives complimentaryED still separate card requirements for u?
Anything more benefits let me know
My IndusInd pinnacle has 3.74l limit

For the person who holds magnus card will this IndusInd ED card useful I asked
With IndusInd ED card you would get 25% card discount(upto 1000 if you pay on ED app) + prime discount on top of that. It also has some BOGO offers, which in Legend is very shady(FCFS). With Magnus, you might get other rewards and can be considered for 1L magnus milestone.

This is what I was wondering as well. I can use Magnus twice with ED to get 1k off on bills of 2.5k. For bills less than 2.5k, ED card can be useful; Legend is useless anyway. Also, they just did a devaluation on the BOGO offer as well, now it's only 1/month.
@Shrinit Padwal I was considering ED card just for occasions where bill is less than 2.5k. Let's say I have a bill of 1.5k, in that case using ED card would be better than Magnus, right?

Yes, you are correct - most Magnus offers on ED are for min. bill of 2500. Offers mostly same for Magnus/Vistara Infinite/Burgundy Private/Reserve.

Consider a scenario where 50% off is there on buffet, Magnus has 40% discount on bill above 2500, with ED you get additional 25% off

So with Magnus
Total Bill - 5000
Restaurant offer - 2500
Magnus discount(40% offer) - 1000
Bill paid - 1500

With ED,
total bill - 5000
restaurant offer - 2500
ED offer - 625
Bill paid - 1875

Now in 2nd scenario where bill is of 10000,

With magnus,
Total bill - 10000
restaurant offer - 5000
ED offer - 1000
Bill paid - 4000

With ED,
Total bill - 10000
restaurant offer - 5000
ED offer - 1000
Bill paid - 4000

Now in 3rd scenario where bill is of 2000,

Magnus not applicable(min 2500 bill)

With ED,
Total bill - 2000
restaurant offer - 1000
ED offer - 250
Bill paid - 750

In higher payments, Magnus will be better and in less than 2500 ED will be, but also case by case you would need to calculate - which card gives you more discount. Also, 1 thing to consider would be, are you looking for cashback or air miles, and then choose appropriately.

Imp Note:
Magnus's offer is valid twice per month.
ED offer valid every 2 hours -
Extra 25% off will not be applicable if consecutive transactions are made at the same restaurant within the gap of 120 minutes or less. Superb scenario based illustrations 👍
Magnus works for 1k reduction for bill above 2.5k multiple times in a month may be a gap lol

This is good explanation! Thank you.
Then I guess closing the Legend card would be sensible. It's not giving me anything.

applied for the card under fyf offer.. but on final verification and vkyc email link it says 1999 as joining and annual fee. Eazydiner person says you will charged 1999 in first month statement and it will be reversed in second month statement. Can anyone else confirm their experience?

Take that confirmation in email - verbally don't trust anyone. When in email, you will have proof if they don't reverse in 2nd month

The same was told to me, I didn't take it. I have never seen a company giving FYF by first charging and then refunding it back.

i have taken it.. got it confirmed on email also…
what i understood is that this fee reversal ia by eazydiner and not indusind.. so u have to pay indusind fees as usual after first month statement and second month eazydiner will credit the fees back to card..
i have magnus but min bill value is 2500 to get discount.. many times my bill is lower so this card will be useful.. even if just used once a month card is quite useful.. will cancel next yr if they don’t make it LTF..

Intersting. So you got the email from a person working at eazydiner and not IndusInd right?

Yes. My entire interaction for everything was with eazydiner employee except vkyc in the end which was with indusind.
Yeah same with me i took the eazydiner card FYF woth that 5000 ppints on Eazydiner app. There he told me i will be charged the ampunt but it will be reversed back by eazydiner and not indusind back.. so in 2nd month statement 1999+gst was reversed back into my credit card account..
Because the offer of FYF is not from Indusind bank it is from Eazydiner guys
