india post's website is weird. like the tracking isn't updated live to the website. there can be a lag upto few days

you misunderstood. tracking details do get updated properly. they just don't get shown in the website as soon as they get updated.

Shipments get held at the airline's storehouse for connection to the next available flight. There is a huge queue for the space in flights by different logistics companies and their payment capability.
lol. it's not. that's your local postoffice marking it as delivered. happens all over india for all speed posts (because they are judged based on the metrics).
If you are eager than go to the post office by yourself and collect it, otherwise it may take days or weeks for them to deliver it by themselves.
My PO usually delivers same day. But Thanks to IndusInd Bank my address was truncated and as a result it was out for delivery by a different beat for my neighbouring area. The postman called me and said he will return it today and it will be delivered tomorrow by correct beat. As he was barely 500m away I requested him to deliver but he refused, so I walked down 500m and collected from him. And with that finally the saga ended.
In these cases, just tweet to IndiaPost and see the magic.
Just IndusInd things, they have sent my basic account kit with BlueDart and CC having the limit more than the bank balance (at that time) with IndiaPost.
For me also they have sent with some unknown courier. But it is not required. I have already generated pin online.
