INDUSIND EXCLUSIVE SAVINGS ACCOUNT + PINNACLE CARD = Zero MAB

since there are many threads created for this same topic , I thought of clearing all the doubts with this new post.

I can confidently say that the below information is correct.
1. you need to own a pinnacle / indulge credit card.
2. if you have legend , you can get it upgraded to pinnacle. pinnacle with 5L + limit will be eligible for indulge. but I okay with pinnacle of now.
3.open Indusind exclusive savings account by visiting branch you can not open it online. I was told by the RM (relationship manager) that grande account supports this aswell, but initial funding is 5L.
4. Once you have opened the account wait of the kit to arrive.
since we are previously using pinnacle CC in Indusind mobile app , it will not support the account linking procedure.

click on create new user id and first enrol your exclusive bank account debit card details , then after successful login , go into mobile application , left side bar , you have an option to link the existing relations , over there you select credit card and then you link it.

it usually takes 24-48 hours for linking , logout of the application and re- login after 24 hours and you will see it over there.
sometimes this doesn't work swell, then you will need to call the cc , ask them to de-register the cc from your mobile app and then map your existing account. once deregistering is done wait for 24 hours and follow the process from beginning. linking debit card , then your credit card etc etc.
since exclusive account is a premium account, drop a mail to exclusive@indusind.com,( you will usually get response in 24 hours , tops) asking them to confirm if your account is zero balance savings account. which I have done and they gave me a confirmation. mail proof for future reference.

note:
I was told by a DBM that , existing accounts can not be converted to indusexclusive, even if converted and mapped to pinnacle credit card , there is very less possibility for it to be converted to a zero mab account.
so new account is necessary , with new account you will Get a Indusind exclusive kit, which has a visa signature/ master card dc it will be sent from Mumbai. wait till you get that card.

visa signature/ MWorld C - annuall charges are 1999 + get. but with this account you get it for free(LTF). you will need to link your account to cc based on these cards not platinum card I believe.
kindly check this with the CC or drop a mail to exclusive DL.

if you already have a visa signature card , my suggestion is to go with master world card , since it gives golf privileges , unlike pinnacle master credit card , there is no minimum spend criteria for the MW dc card.

Mailed the exclusive CC to confirm the zero MAB. The customer care agent told me (over the call) that there is no need to link the card with ur app or anything, it is just that if we have to have a pinnacle cc on our name and that's it. The mail content:

We would like to inform you that if you are holding a pinnacle credit card , you can maintain a zero balance on your exclusive savings account as Pinnacle card will work as a surrogate criteria in lieu of maintaining required AMB in Exclusive saving account.

Catch here is IndusInd say it as cif both ur cc and sb should be on same cif
Lot of us have dual sim so possibly have 2 cif

Each customer care executive has their own rule book in this Indian Banking industry.. pathetic ..if I had to put it mildly...

We need to follow how the software system follows the rules in the respective banks, not the people in the Bank...
I would say you have to link both the prodcuts under the same CIF to be on safer side

How to link? Just in the app via the left side bar? I thought its just frontend (app) only and nothing happens in the backend actually.

Please list down all your CC and account activity chronologically step by step .... then I may be able to advise..

1. Tried opening the Exclusive account online but I did not see the option to open exclusive account there. Hence stopped midway.
2. Asked some bank agent, the local branch guys came home and opened IndusInd Exclusive account with 2L initial deposit. They said there'll be address verification again due to some technical issues but no one came even after a week.
3. Received exclusive visa signature debit card after a week in welcome kit.
4. Installed IndusMobile app and created user ID using debit card details.
5. Logged in to the app and went to the left navigation bar, clicked "Link Relationships" and then "Link Credit Card", and provided the Pinaccle CC details.
6. Afterwards I got a message stating "Your request to link your credit card to your Mobile Banking has been processed successfully".
7. I can see both my savings account and CC details in the homepage of the app now.
8. Activated net banking from PC browser, but I do not see any "Cards" there. The option to select "Cards" is greyed out.

The local branch agent also told me that they'll explain the process of linking Pinnacle CC with Exclusive account later, but I didn't call them yet.

Great. But it would be nice if CC guys gave some sort of confirmation.

I also activated net banking from PC browser, but I do not see any "Cards" there. The option to select "Cards" is greyed out.

Pinnacle surrogates now exclusive

In your IndusInd mobile app, see if you see the following screenshot under
Hamburger menu -> Settings..

Key points here:
1) Primary account
2) Primary card
3)Preferred accounts/ cards…

Under preferred accounts and cards if you list down your exclusive and pinnacle card then it means they both are linked…

BTW : no cc guy / anyone told me this.. but I assume this is where the system understands that your both account and cards were linked together..
I am pretty sure I am 99.999% correct..
