Infinia Infinia Request Rejected even after fulfilling 'Spend+Limit' Criteria[Update: Approved]

With that kind of spend wouldn't dcb give better rewards due to quarterly milestone?
I hit the monthly 15k cap for infinia every month. Even the additional 10k diners cap was low for me. So per quarter I end up getting 5k more points than the diners(monthly cap + quarterly bonus). Plus the redemption options for diners are limited, gyftr(5x vs 3x), acceptance outside India is quite shitty and the exchange rate for diners is much worse than visa. Which is why I ended up going for a second infinia instead of continuing with DCB.

It would depend on other things as well like
  • Better redeemption option of Infinia like Tanishq
  • Better monthly limit of 15k accelerated points
Considering monthly limit of 10K of DCBM is sufficient for you then below is a very rough calculation.
For one quarter milestone, you get 10K points and for simplicity lets assume both DCBM & Infinia have point value as Rs 1. Now Infinia provides 6.66% extra in GYFTR, so to earn extra 10K points, you need to spend 1.5Lk in quarter or 50K monthly on GYFTR. This is if you complete all 4 quarter milestone.
  • If you would do all 4 quarterly milestone, you need 50K pm voucher
  • For 3 milestone, it would be 37.5K
  • For 2 milestone, 25k
  • For 1 milestone, you need 12.5k pm vouchers

I was placed on campus for my first job. Worked there for 2 years. Have switched once so far 2 years ago within the same industry.
Did/Do you keep most of your funds/use HDFC as your primary account, if you even hold an account. Or is it strictly a cc relationship with them?

Do you believe account funds matter when asking for LE’s/Upgrades with HDFC or do they only look at cc spends?

Account creds only matter when BM is leading the process. Though, it doesn't effect much, Hardly 10-20%.
If you are dealing directly nothing matters, If you are meeting the spends criteria or not that's it + the mood of person responding.

I have more cash in HDFC than INFINIA new criteria of 60L, And net salary of 4.7L / month still no INFINIA.

Every person i talk within the bank said i will get you the card 101% and still no luck for over 4 months now.

Seeing the delay being caused by HDFC, I think the best way for you would be to wait for a salary hike, which will surely make your per month salary cross 5L and then ask for Infinia directly to PNO. You'll get the approval in a day.

Naa it doesn't work like that with HDFC.
Being eligible for DCB Metal salary wise still they denied me 2-3 times due to internal policy.

Yes that's the last option, I will cross 5L mark by Apr salary, that's again additional 4 months.

But, i will close the account with HDFC then and keep the cc relation only.
