Oh that's great to hear! I will have roaming activated on my Jio sim, so can I activate the phone there itself and get facetime app installed (even if it doesn't work there)? So I can start using the phone immediately. Or should I wait until I get back home to activate it?
I am thinking of buying from amazon.ae and getting it delivered to my hotel. The prices are low there for the 15 Pro Max right now. Plus I can put that amount on my milestone Amex, which I mostly won't be allowed to do if I go offline.

I don't think it makes any difference, FT is linked to your Apple ID, and as long as you can verify that you have that SIM in that phone, it should work just fine.

BTW, anyway FaceTime kind of doesn't work in Dubai. When you are back in India, it will work as usual.
1) Warranty on iphone works only in the country where you bought the iPhone from, also you need valid proof for that. If you buy iphone from USA(From official apple store or authorised reseller) then the warranty will work only in USA. If you are buying from UAE, then warranty will work only in UAE. Also if you are buying american version of iphone from uae then its warranty will not be applicable in UAE plus u can't get the iphone on ur name because the iphone is already billed. They are just reselling the phone. I hope you understand what I am saying. Buy the phone with valid bill proof in order for warranty to work.
2) American phones comes in two variants- locked and unlocked. Unlocked ones work with any cell carrier. Locked ones are cheaper than unlocked ones but you can only use a particular carrier in that iphone. So buy unlocked one.
3) American Iphones have no physical slim slot. They only have esim.

VAT refund is not done at the airport counter like in singapore and sydney ?

Bro I was gonna ask my cousin to bring ipad pro latest one from USA, it is for 85k there plus 3-4k off on apple card but mayne it is much cheaper in india. If I go gst way, I can get it for 75k, If I go for students offer than i can get it for 80k... I mean u cant club gst plus student offer together.

Fun Fact- I got iphone 7 from usa in 2016, the phone had some manufacturing defects and within 1 month I went to apple store in delhi and they refused to replace or repair it because its warranty was apparently covered in USA. Also if u buy apple care in usa it will work in usa only or any specific country u got it from, so my advice buy apple products from india only
