iPhone 16 and 16 Pro Launch Prices

I bought the iPhone 11 Pro when it first came out and have been considering upgrading each year. However, I haven't found any significant reasons to do so until now. Instead, I've invested my money in the stock market.

I'm interested in upgrading this year, but I think the AI improvements will be more impressive next year. So, I'm considering waiting another year. What are your thoughts?
The mediocre updates aside, but 11 series is like a brick, weighs like an elephant.

iPhone 16 Pro launched at the same launch price as 15 Pro, at $999 (+taxes) in the USA.
Surprisingly, India price is 120k, which is *15k lower than 15 Pro launch price. I think this is the first instance that iPhone prices have ever been dropped.

After card discount of 5k, and no cost EMI discount of another 5k, the final price comes to 110k.
iPhone 16 Pro, 128 GB at 110k.Not a bad price at launch.

Discount and No cost emi partners are all 3 giants - Amex, Axis and ICICI.
Price can come down from 110k to ~100k if we use some cards for RP. Pretty good deal I’d say.

Unfortunate that the base Pro model is still 128 gigs, but a good deal nonetheless.

Edit: Thanks @Prav for pointing out that 15 Pro launched at 135k and not 125k. 16 Pro being discounted 15k at launch is insane.

That is because earlier pro series was not manufactured in india. Now 16 pro series is being manufactured in India.

Good point. There's another interesting fact here -

iPhone 14/15 - Units at launch imported from China. Units after Dec/Jan were manufactured in India.
iPhone 14/15 Pro - Not manufactured in India.

iPhone 16 - Units at launch manufactured in India. This is a huge deal!
iPhone 16 Pro - Units at launch being imported from China right now. India units likely to be manufactured starting Dec/Jan.

1. From where did you buy to get a 14.5K discount?
2. If we use GST, do we have to pay from the same firm's account? Or can we pay from any card we want? And if we pay from any card and not from the Firm's account, is there any danger of Govt notice since there was no transaction made from the first with GST?
3. Can I use your GST too plz? I am ready to share GST savings with you.
