While all UPI mandates were revoked yesterday (ICICI and IndusInd) and money freed, none of the ASBA money (Canara Bank) is released till now. This is a big disadvantage of ASBA over UPI.

ICICI ASBA money all freed yesterday evening.
Other banks are sleeping. But UPI in some cases blocks money till mandate end date and there is no proper support in that case so both of them have their pros & cons.
In ASBA banks have to manually update the allotment status and free up the money & yesterday was a holiday.

That will either require an exceptional luck out of this world or a tweaked allocation algorithm

This is the reason why I seem pessimistic to you. I factor in this fact even before applying for IPO.

Good IPOs are like lottery.. laga to bahut he acha.. or agar ni laga to move on to next lottery (IPO)..

Nah milega* 1 lot hi chahe 15k ki application lagao ya 2L ki
2L se 10L k bich me 2L hi milega* Allotment
10L k uper ki application me 2L hi milega* Allotment

Tab toh fir i have overpowered human nature
I just do my basic reading of RHP without taking into account the GMP. Then apply 1 retail lot in IPOs irrespective of GMP.
Milna nahi hai ye soch k raho toh jab milta hai toh khushi jyada hoti hai and nahi milta toh dukh nahi hota bcz that's what I was thinking already.
