IPO Allotments 😍

Read this to understand the allocation process

SME mein bhi HNI 2L+ mtlb 2 lots hi hota h
1 lot Retail hi hota h 1.5L se neche wala
Yeah, so I just read this article and it shows 2 NII categories small 2L-10L and big 10L+.
And it says if anyone is big NII they get at least rs.2L worth of allotment, now I don't have this kind of money, and what about rs. 2L NII?

Can I directly apply rs.2L as NII on upstox or groww or any special formality is needed?
2nd is there any minimum amount of shares which I'll be allotted for sure or is it only for big NIIs?

Please tell me about this.

Thank you

Bhai me thik se samjha nahi.
See ek lot 15k ka hota hai joki I guess we can apply upto 1.5L ya 2L, but agar milega to ek hi milega warna nahi milega on single pan.
Ek option or bhi hota hai HNI ka, uska kya hisaab hai?
For normal ipos kitne lagane padhte hai, and kya allotment mil jaati hai?
15k wala retail hota h jo ki 1 lot hota h
aise 13 lot krke 1.95L tk lga skte ho jo but milta 15k ka hi h th jyada lgane ka fyda nhi h
13 lot ki jgh ab 14 lot lgaoge mtlb 14*15000 = 210000 th 2L+ amount ho jata h jo ki HNI Category hoti h jismein 2L ki hi allotment milti h. Ye small HNI hota h aur isko 2L se 9.99L tk lga skte ho pr milega 2L ka hi.
Aise hi Big HNI aata h 10L+ ka jismein 10L and 10k ke around ki application hoti h, ismein bhi milte 2L ke hi shares h, pr allotment chances 2L wali app. mtlb SHNI se jyada shi rhti h

Th apne funds ke according
15- Retail
2.1L - SHNI
10.1L - BHNI

Inmein se koi application lgao

2nd:

Yes you can apply Retail & SHNI can be applied from anywhere and from any app just select the right amount like 15k(approx) for retail and 2.1L(approx.) for SHNI. For BHNI you have you use ASBA through Net Banking as it is a 10L application and UPI limit is 5L only for IPO applications.

Yes you can. Though UPI has limit of 5L

No its all lottery, not even bHNI gets guaranteed allotment.
If you apply between 2L to 9.99L application that is sHNI you will only get 2L allotment.

Understood, so this means just like the lottery of 15k lot if we apply less than 2L and ipo is oversubscribed we'll either get nothing or at most 1 lot which means no benefit of putting in extra money.
And in case of HNI the lot is of around 2L and we can apply as much as we want just like 15k lots and if it is oversubscribed we might get lot of only rs.2L or nothing.

So the crux is there is no sure shot benefit of putting in extra money and we still have to play lottery and we might get lot as per our retail or hni category, that's all.

Correct

Putting more lots makes sense in case of under subscription only. In case of over subscription, putting min lots for that category is the ideal choice.

If i apply with Multiple PAN's but using same UPI for Mandate... Is it OK or use PAN holder Bank Account for Mandate...

I guess bank account holder, PAN name and demat name should be same and of same person.
Like we can't use someone else's bank on Groww app to fund it to buy shares

So when I am applying for an IPO through my friends or family, will I use their UPI for the mandate or can i use mine account for mandate?

PAN match hoga between bank account and demat account.
If matched then application is valid otherwise invalid.

Search third party upi in ipo
Sometimes it works with some rare IPOs bcz of inefficient systems
