If for somereason I can't get SBI Cashback, is this card a decent alternative for SBI Cashback card?

My spends are mostly online and a lot are international spends if that helps.

axis cashback card analysis New
Axis cashback's return is way below 7%. Assuming you max it out , you get just (0.02*5000 + 0.05*35000 + 0.07*30700)*100/70000 = 5.7%.

Max you can spend is 70,700rs but with SBI CB you can go upto 1L.
Till 40K per month your effective CB is (0.02*5000 + 0.05*35000)*100/40000 = 4.6%.
Only when you hit the sweetspot of 70,700 it rewards you 5.7%

I asked the subreddit the same question and some suggest to pick the HDFC Swiggy Card. But the thing is..it doen't give 5% CB for Amazon Pay gift balance. Is it true?

By itself it is not. But if used along with Axis Airtel & HDFC TN, then the story changes.
Also, Axis cards are direct bank products while SBI Cards are issued by a NBFC. May not be of any significance for most people, but for some, it would make a difference.

I came to the decision to apply for this card. I completed the application via Cashkaro. Lets see how it goes.

Axis didn't ask my payslip but just asked my annual income and took a cibil enquiry. The card doesn't seem to have an income threshold requirement.

I decided to get this card and I got the application approved and started using it. Waiting to see the cashback credited. So far the MCC codes are not from the excluded ones.

It is not under the MCC exclusion list so I can confirm that you do get CB for it. You are also eligible for sales and CB for the billion sale flipkart offer.

Note that the CB is based on slab category if you're specifically talking about this card.
Thanks. one last query, i have axis privilege and axis cashback cards. both are LTF but i want to close one, which one you think its better to keep for sale offers in future? any suggestions would be helpful.

All axis cards have sale offers including the cashback one.

The one you aren't using the most is the one you can close. You are the only one to decide on that.

If both are LTF, I would keep the cashback card. Higher reward rate, and it also works on sales for double dipping. Privilege hardly has any benefits over the cashback card.
