Is HDFC Regalia Gold good for offline spends?

Recently got an LTF upgrade from Regalia to Regalia Gold.... I have APay ICICI and Flipkart Axis cards that give 1% on offline spends. But was wondering if using the regalia gold would be better for offline spends from now with the rewards conversion. Kindly throw some light.

Also got Priority Pass card with the upgrade.. Are they pre-activated?

TIA

You can extract higher than 1% return value on Reg Gold by accumulating a lot of points and redeeming them against a high value single transaction by paying the same redemption fee applicable. Based on your spends, you should be able accumulate points and be able to redeem in time then using Reg Gold will become better than 1% cashback.

Yea... The plan is to accumulate and redeem once every 6 months or so based on the points.

Regalia Gold to Accor is the best redemption in my opinion
Is Accor a redemption platform? Sorry noob here

Thanks. How to redeem regalia gold points to accor? I mean is there any specific portal that we need to use to redeem? How is the process?
Make sure you have an accor account and its id copied from accor website. Login to smartbuy regalia website and somewhere in regalia benefits you will see the option to transfer to miles or accor or something. Enter that accor account id and points you want to transfer and transfer happens seamlessly. You can transfer a minimum of 100 points first if you are still skeptical.

Thank you so much. I'm just entering the world of regalia gold, points, and hotels. Long way to go.

Do you travel often (flights, hotels)? If not, it's best to stick to cashback cards. Maybe look at Au LIT/HDFC Neu/Axis Ace.

Also, keep in mind that you'll be losing out on travel deals of third party sites and rewards on those spends by going with the redemption route.

In the case of Accor, what % of value back can I expect from Regalia Gold?
Lets talk about non accelerated reward points % value back - get 4 points on 150Rs. spent which will convert to 2 Accor points*. Assuming you are able to extract 1.8Rs value from 1 Accor point, you will be getting an overall 2.4% value back from Reg Gold.

*Check if reg gold to accor points is still in 2:1 ratio. Not sure if this has changed recently and I am not able to find the latest info anywhere immediately. I don't have reg gold.

Not often. It's just once in 2 months maybe. That too kochi to Bangalore and return.
Hotel stays are also rare. Once in 2-3 months for 1 or 2 days.
