Is it safe to get HSBC Credit Card ?

I am eligible for HSBC Card (based on salary and all), but I want to know if it is safe to get that card. The reason of my concern is because, it is a Taiwan based bank, so, is directly related to China. So, I am concerned about data privacy.

It is a london based bank as mentioned as well. Also Since the bank is operating in India, It comes under the view of RBI. And you might be aware of that RBI ensures that the data collected by the banks are to be collected & kept within india itself. Therefore, it totally safe to get a HSBC card.

yes bro, it is safe... and it is a British bank. Also, Taiwan has nothing to do with China. Hong Kong and Taiwan are different.

In my 1+ year experience on TF, this is the first time I am surprised to read the title of any thread.

For a while, I thought (and confused) as to whose safety the OP is worried about.

Is it about his own safety or that of HSBC.

I liked this thread a lot. Will remember this for a very long time.
