Axis didn't wait till today evening and shared the email in morning itself. Luckily not much impact to Burgundy Private debit card, only change is about introduction of DCC (Dynamic Conversion Charge) and revision of Edge Reward points for Savings Account.

So BookMyShow BOGO offer will continue as-is & no minimum spend criteria in previous quarter to avail free lounge access.

Still Axis never leaves the scope to surprise us someday with more devaluation, so should not be overjoyed 😛

Please elaborate, what is the devaluation in edge reward points for the debit card?

But M4B is still a great card for some spenders!!! What happens to them now?

Well... either they convert to some other form of Burgundy (salary or investments) else actually pay axis 30K for M4B. Reason is even after paying 30K they will lose less money compared to current interest rate loss.
Currently most are in wait and watch mode and I am evaluating moving to Indus Pioneer.

Oh yes I shared the wrong one since I have both normal Burgundy debit & Private debit card. For Private debit card, no such exclusions mentioned in the email except introduction of DCC charge & Saving account rewards update.

So BookmyShow & Reward points criteria not changed for Burgundy Private Debit card.

Best use case is Axis Burgundy Debit card - 1% edge points (2K daily) for free, which can be converted to Airmiles at 5:4, if you have Magnus Burgundy. Only till 30th April, as devaluation is from 1st May.

2L transaction per day for 18 days though may get your account blocked 😂, so do at your own risk.

I just opened my Burgundy salary account this week. I have to make a payment of 640000 for my magnus card.

How should I pay the credit card bill using my burgundy debit card so as to get the maximum edge reward points?

I also have HDFC platinum card and will pay 75k using that hdfc card, but need some more suggestions to get some points for rest of the payment.

One thing is really confusing. They have given list of all these MCCs. But they have clearly written that only rent payment and utility services will not be eligible for Edge Reward points. So is it that we will still get points for the other categories. Probably need some clarity on this.

@sid16 fair observation - for NPS transactions done on 7th May I do not see any edge rewards credited. But no idea how long it take for the debit card rewards to show up on the edge rewards portal now. I had not used the card in Mar and Apr so the last edge reward credit is for a transaction in Feb which got posted the next day of the transaction.

DC not sure but try APAY card from ICICI it gives reward for wallets still but use for lesser amounts....
