Job loss. What will happen to axis salary account?

My brother has been laid off. What will happen to axis bank salary account? Will it remain zero balance or balance need to get maintained?

Somewhere I read that if salary not credited for 3 months, then it'll become normal savings account.

Yes it will, if salary didn't credited in next 3 months. Do not close the account as of now as he might get his dues from company on that account. It will automatically converted to their basic saving account

I had a salary account with Axis which I stopped using in 2013. Even in 2023, it still remained as a zero balance salary account. Now I have upgraded the account and started using it again for salary credit to enjoy the Burgundy benefits.
