Karnataka govt is running a scam!!! Need everyone here who can help to recover my 5 Lakh

I have contacted the govt site helpdesk they gave trx details like multiple payments got received but they are telling only the local DC office can refund the money,

We have contacted DC office gave them application with all the required details, but they are telling to wait atleast 3 months.
You got the confirmation of payment receipt at Revenue Department end.

You already did more than you can do to get your money back.👍👏

Your Pain, anger and frustration is valid in the current circumstances, with no relief from anywhere.

As of now as you are aware "Options are very thin", keep yourself positive and calm.

Try to involve someone experienced in this kind of matter and have good contacts in DC office, may be you got solution early.
All the best 👍.

Being positive, calm and patient is the key here. I was also told that refund is not at all possible. It was told by the municipal corporation people. There was one revenue inspector who assured it. He got transferred immediately after accepting my application. That application came back from dc's office for unknown reason. The new revenue inspector corrected whatever it was and resent to dc's office. Cheque was issued for one failed payment as they thought there is only one failed payment. Had to reapply for another payment. Cheque issued for this had wrong name. Cheque had to be reissued. All this took 5 months. All this because I paid property tax on behalf of a senior citizen who lives alone.
So my advice is better be patient. Don't ever show your displeasure with the govt. employees. You will get it back.
Meanwhile do what you can do to not pay the dues to bank as some people have suggested. You have to get a big refund, so be careful about what you do.

first mistake - you shouldn't pay anything on govt website via cc.
second mistake - you paid via cc...transaction failed...you still tried multiple times via diff cc...big mistake.

on an unrelated note....dont worry your money is in safe "hands" (pun intented)...it'll be distributed in a khata khata manner to other ppl for free...icing on the cake...some of it is now reserved for certain grp of ppl...

As you have already got reply of min. 3 months better wait and arrange money for the bills.
In the meantime take look at pgportal website if option appears for that department and karnataka dispute portal(i could not understand the language).
Very disheartening to see such treatment for refunds. And that too 3 fking months.

Also
just keep in mind that if the Bill has already generated and after that you have received the temporary credit , just PAY the amount of bill first. Because even though the RBI Guidelines do mention adjusting this refund against payment due, some banks don't do it.

To avoid cibil damage or any late payment charge, pay first. Then you can request the outstanding temporary credit amount to be transferred to your Bank Account.
Is there a way in which the credit can be transferred to bank aoount
Yes, you will have to write an email to the Bank along with your Bank Account details. They will then transfer it to that Account.

Everyone learn some lessons from life.
If he was aware of the consequences before, he must have not done it in present way.

The things which I felt are -

1-Not only he, but whole family is Very very Helpful.
2- He have zeal to handle and fight the situation, by doing all he can.
3-Courage to speak about it on Public Platform, despite knowing only few will help.

If i am not wrong you cannot file FIR, Ur friend has to file the FIR as you were just paying on his behalf. If u file as FIR lots of unnecessary question will arise as why r u paying y cant ur friend pay from his bank account bla bla. Be careful and take the necessary step.

Credit card CHARGEBACK doesnot apply for govt transactions. This is kind of fraud and unfair coming from RBI

Yes, paying via cash challan is best. Learnt the lesson hard way

Really sad to hear your story. Pay 40% taxes to center, infinite tax to Karnataka government and be treated like slaves. Helplessness is the only feeling that keeps popping into my head.
Paid 6 Lakh for home loan registration stamp tax
Paid 1.5 Lakh rs tax on my bike
Paid 9 Lakh rs tax on our car
Paid all these after income tax.
And now this 5 Lakh got struck because of their payment error.

Karnataka govt one of the most heavily taxing govt. There is no escape to middle class slavery, the more I work harder the richer top 1% becomes.

it's a crime in India to be rich....first pay highest rate tax on your earned income as per ITR....second pay highest indirect tax rate on all luxury things or somewhat costly things you buy with your already taxed high income.....since you earn that much...so naturally it's a desire to upgrade standard of living and go for higher priced/quality/premium/luxury goods and services....what you get in return....NOTHING...

Brother what a dumb statement /s. It's crime to even be a middle class, forget rich. Only a low life scum would voluntary pay taxes for this godforsaken country.

And I am waiting for the day when he who shall not be named will eventually be Prime Minister (One day he will be) and being out of power for so long will bring a distruction so fierce it's gonna do some unforeseen damage. So the ride is gonna go from bad to worse my friends....

My eldest brother was making a payment for land conversation to non agriculture at Karnataka govt site for a friends work
Reading the post itself gave me anxiety. Despite those issues, here is what I fail to understand:

I am finding it hard to understand what is land conversation and who were the parties conversating here?
Why did your brother decide to use his credit card for paying for a friend's work? Not just once, but 7 times?
Why did you not stop when there were more than one transaction failures? This sounds fishy to me.
Also your expectation on government officials (especially in the revenue dept) replying to your issues is unrealistic if you don't know the right people in these departments.

Despite having connections in the government, I had to struggle for two weeks, for a trivial task.

You are also SOL with many of your card lenders because the payments may have been cleared from the lender's end as the issue most likely is a faulty implementation of handling payment responses from the payment gateway to the govt. site.
