I called customer support but they just informed that txn was not eligible for cashback. DO you know when the mcc code restriction were introduced ?

In Amazon, currently, yes. In other websites Yes and No both. Because it depends on eligible mcc. That also change more often.

Apply For LTF Axis Bank Credit Card
If we do not get 500 cashback (as promised) by Feb 28, then we will shoot mass email/calls and then escalate those emails/calls.

My view is we should definitely waste the time value (at least 500+) of their employees for this unethical thing, if that happens.

RBI taught them a lesson, after two more days it will be our turn to teach them a lesson if they do not fulfill what they promised.

I wish I could tag Mr. Kotak here.

Kotak is completely unethical bank. They should be banned again

This includes our valuable time as well which is worth more than theirs keeping aside ₹500.

Relax. This is not the end of the world.
