Who is she and they in this ??
She: Forgot her name in excitement. did not record her call. Probably from nodal desk. She was not comfortable in hindi, very good in english. Sounds intelligent enough than regular usual guys. Even if I get her name, will not share.
My complaints went almost many places... level, 1, 2, 3- PNO - thrice (on call, twice on email), branch, RH etc. I can't say for sure, who exactly took the right stand. But, sounds genuine. I told her wont be giving feedback right now until in reality the bank fulfill its promise. By the way she herself told me to complaint RBI before I could spell it out if the bank do not fulfill the promise. Maybe because in last conversation with a PNO desk guy I literally threatened, as I had the relevant proof, and I caught them red handed on mis-managing the whole process.

They: Kotak Mahindra Bank decision making body.

Fight was probably between Kotak 811 super product design, marketing and publicity team. (The team that responsible sending the email on 17th January)

The team who abruptly stopped cashback from 1st January even though actual decision was published on 27th/ 28th January. Actual date for applicable cashback may be awarded for those upto 17th (or 27th not sure on this, did not asked) . You can name them as back-end team, thats what I know after 5-6 to and fro conversation. The team that was adamant without logic.

As per RBI guidelines, a 30-day notice should be given anyway. This means cashback should be credited to the utility by 27th/28th February. 🤣🤣

Ig it more of like meant how we say in hindi - ' sir agar aap hamare resolution se santust nhi ho, toh aap RBI me complain raise kar sakte hai'. but nice to hear that she did say it.

If someone opened online recently, Pls share your experience, or 811 or 811 super can be opened via branch?
 
It's for debit card too. This 30 days notice period comes under general guidelines of the master direction.
On that wow... The audacity of this bank, but then again even SBI cards also don't adhere to master directive (refunds are not counted towards payment).

Kotak needs more bamboos and further bans.

I think you are confused or meant to say something else. SBI does adhere to this, refunds are considered towards bill payments and even cashback. I think you wanted to say that other banks don't adhere to it. For example: HDFC

Apart from this, for the 5%CB is this working on Online E-Com sites? Someone mentioned its not longer working on Amazon as it is considering that txn as Wallet Loading?

What are the offline options? Fuel and POS swipes/tap&pay at retail shops?

No one can answer this because nobody knows.

It all comes down to the MCC code. How can anyone know if the online e-com website you are transacting on has an mcc code of wallet? How can anyone know if the offline store you are transacting on has an mcc code of insurance?

Once again, everything depends on the MCC code. Find out the MCC code and then check the exclusions. If it's on the list of exclusions, you won't receive cashback. If it's not, then you'll get the cashback.

Options are unlimited, but will I get the cashback? only MCC code can confirm it.
