Kris Flyer: How does it actually work?

If you convert 4500 Singapore airline miles to 1000 Accor points and then convert back to Singapore miles, you will get only 500 Singapore miles or 1/9th of your original miles.
It's a joke 🤣

To convert Accor points to get 8959 Singapore airlines miles, you will need to convert 17918 Accor points, because it is 2 Accor points for 1 Singapore airline mile.

And 4500 Singapore Airline Miles for 1000 Accor points
Both conversation ratios are ridiculous

Right. Best would be if you could buy something from Kris shop and ship to a relative in Singapore for free

There is also an option to convert Krisflyer miles to Kris pay points and use them at local partners in India. You could install the kris+ app and see if you can find partners that accept Kris pay points.

With some leftover Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer miles, these are my options--

1. Short-haul Flight Redemptions

Depending on the route and season, you may be able to redeem your miles for a short-haul regional flight within Southeast Asia. For example, routes like Singapore to Kuala Lumpur or Jakarta can sometimes require fewer miles when booked during promotions.

2. Upgrade to a Higher Cabin Class

You might be able to top up your miles with cash or purchase additional miles and use them for an upgrade to a higher cabin class on an existing booking.

3. KrisShop

KrisFlyer miles can be used to shop for items on KrisShop, Singapore Airlines’ inflight retail service. You can redeem your miles for a variety of products, including electronics, beauty products, and fashion items.

4. Use Miles on Partner Airlines

Your KrisFlyer miles can be used to book flights with Star Alliance partner airlines. If you're planning to fly with one of the 26 Star Alliance members, this might be a good way to use them, even for a short route.

5. Hotel or Car Rentals via KrisFlyer vRooms

You can also use KrisFlyer miles for hotel bookings or car rentals through KrisFlyer vRooms. It allows you to redeem miles for hotel stays or car hires globally.

6. KrisPay

If you’re in Singapore, you can use your miles with KrisPay, a mobile app that lets you convert your miles into instant credits to pay for things at participating merchants, including restaurants, retail shops, and even fitness centers.

Since a few miles might not be enough for a full reward flight, considering alternative redemption options, like KrisShop or KrisPay, might give you better value

My edge rewards section got disabled today without any intimation, talked with customer care executive and got response that we dont see any commercial usage here in ur card and raised service request for re-activation which will take 5 working days. Any insights on the outcome as per ur experience..!!??
