Laptop for personal and office use - No budget limitation

Lenovo Thinkpad P series for work. If not available, get the Txx(xxx) [T14.or T480+] series and beyond for work.
I don't like any consumer laptops so no idea there since I use the T480 personally 10+ hours daily/365d. Framework 16 is a good bet from my side. Don't get Acer Aspire or HP elitebooks (Battery backup issues).

the one u suggested has only 14" screen, my req. is atleast 15.6" and above.

I have never used a business laptop before, always a consumer one but does business laptop makes a huge diff? can u enlighten me as this will be my first biz use, can't go for framework as no india support and what happens when something goes wrong on biz laptop? like u knw if a consumer laptop goes bad we can always google and there's so many community/forum support question/answers on consumer laptop's but biz customers are very less and i guess they aren't active on forums and is relying on lenovo support for a biz laptop help enough?

also how does biz laptop give such high battery life? i always had graphics card on my consumer laptops even though I do zero gaming but mostly chrome and it never gave a problem, last yr i bought asus oled with no nvidia gpu, just the intel integrated thinking i don't need gpu but chrome performance goes bit down if i don't have dedicated gpu which makes me think gpu isn't JUST for gaming, it is for everyday use too with chrome + with VM also perhaps.

I might be able to adjust with no oled but seriously? thinkpad's are all plastic? fck wtf.
Yeah it is, but it doesn't feel cheap.
Ever compared a good premium quality plastic toy with a toy you get inside the packet of chips, that's the difference in ThinkPad T series.

I guess your best bet would be elitebook or hp spectre.

Else if you're not on the go, why not get a PC and customise it to your liking?
Good for posture too.

My past experience and Murphy's law are unanimous on -> Never use same device for work and personal entertainment.
If budget is not a constrain then opt for 2 devices(regardless of form factor). 🤷‍♂️
I have explored that option. I even have another old laptop with my current asus s15, and tbh no can't do multiple laptops. I prefer one laptop which is powerful enough to handle everything. My work environment at offc or at home will make my experience very shitty and if I wanted to do that I would have already as I have an extra laptop (I can't wait to sell/throw out my current/old laptop lol).

okkk... so you want a windows lappy then you can go for
  • surface laptop
  • Samsung galaxy laptop range
  • asus vivobook (newly launched) with intel ultra processor and lunar lake architecture
  • Lenovo thinkbook 16 Gen 6 (I'll personally recommend it as it's budget friendly and customizable on website too)

okay, thinkbook I am considering too thinkbook or thinkpad. The one u recommended in few models have only 16gb ram and i want more and few model does have more ram but laptop itself doesn't have front speakers and heat/fan out is prolly on bottom which is an issue.

This is the one you want:

The recommendations given here cost more than macbook already, plus I was looking to get macbook for myself too last year, but it still doesn't have much software support and will need to learn to use it and then teach to parents as well.

Software I am not referring to all or famous ones, but I telling you about my experience, i am pursuing CA and coaching companies don't support MAC os.

I don't care for learning, I am fine with it, I can learn in a day myself but more important is software support. If virtualbox or my current softwares gives me issues then I'll have expensive box with me with nothing to do. I wish apple gave macbook pro m3 pro 32gb model for trial basis of 4-5 days or atleast refund option no questions asked for a week but they don't and I don't have someone who can give me a macbook pro for few days.

I would love to get a PC. I do my work from offc and home both, mostly from home but sometimes if in vacation I can't stop my work as I am a self professional not salaried and I want my computer with me all the time so laptop is the only option for me unfortunately.

spectre doesn't have numpad afaik and elitebook i answered before too.

your specifications are confusing me in a big way....
you want atleast 32GB RAM (DDR5) with H series processor with all the nitty-gritties like 120Hz screen, OLED, 600nits brightness, etc.
then you describe your usage as official purpose and some online streaming ......
over all of this you are not into gaming at all.....

why do you want to buy such spec laptop... its like using bazooka to kill a mosquito....

I would suggest you go for 15.6 inch laptop with i5 1340P processor and one soldered RAM plus one extra slot for expansion (atleast 5200MHz)
and 2 slots for memory too one soldered and one empty (ofcourse M.2 NVME PCIe Gen 4.0) upto 2TB and a dedicated graphic card.....

or rather in short go for a laptop which has a badge of Intel EVO ......
that'll be a no brainer

Ohh, so, S15 is causing problems?
Can you please point out the problems and limitations u faced?😐

There are 2 different models starting with K and S, if I remember well and 2 year; 2022, 2023, 2024. Which one is yours? Had you purchased from Amazon?
