Considering cappings seems like to prevent abuse. Only casualty seems to be education payments but that too if one does through third party apps. For direct transactions it shall yield reward points.

I have received a new mail from HDFC which states that utility points will be capped at 2000 per month. Also, Only 1 Apple product can be redeemed every quarter and only 50000 worth of RP can be redeemed for Tanishq vouchers every quarter for my Infinia Card from 1st September.

Is this for all HDFC credit Cards?

I thought Infinia don't currently earn rewards on Utility - I need to make a house property tax payment directly at the municipal corporation website.. Any idea if I will get points??

Unfortunately can't - biller giving a 10% discount on direct payment..
Any idea if Infinia will give the 3.33%??

Every municipal corporation has different gateway and different MCC. Difficult to give generalised opinion.

If Govt MCC you wont get any points. Utility MCC will get points, but it is unlikely that such portals will have utility MCC
