I suppose, there's an opportunity cost here, but also no guarantee of getting Emeralde PVC LTF even after spending that much
Yes, same conveyed with numbers. If you spend same amount in other bank cards, and still needed this "particular variant card", you can get as paid (which is easy to obtain compared to LTF without any spending or investment) and fee can be paid using other bank cards rewards, effectively you're not losing anything by satisfying two requirements:
- LTF Emeralde PVC (by paying other banks rewards)
- 0.5% reward rate on Emeralde (still can get as left over in other bank rewards)
And "I hope many changes might come by that time and you no longer need this card" ,
are you hoping the card will be devalued further, do have anything against Emeralde PVC LTF holders ?!😂🤣
I'm hoping every card will devalue after 3 years (or atleast make changes that makes them less useful) and observed same pattern in all banks. LTF is a myth according to me because eventually every bank introduces new cards making old ones useless or less useful (except very rare 2 or 3 cards).
Reserv LTF no longer useful unless you subscribe by "paying" 3x or 5x subscription to make it useful (or) upgrade to Marquee as Paid.
-- who knows after 3 years, some other cards come above Marquee making it like Reserv now.
DCB -> DCB Metal
Reserv -> Marque
Regalia -> Regalia Gold
Zenith -> Zenith+
Magnus -> Magnus 4B
and so on..
we're in business which can sustain only on profits. eventually for better benefits we have to upgrade or take low rewards.
Do not think we can survive with that card forever.
---------------
In multiple posts, I mentioned
- do not waste time to get basic / premium cards as LTF (because you won't use them, or they reduce your favorite features)
- try to get only useful that you hope to survive next 3 years as LTF
// In fact, by this 2nd point logic emeralde pvc sustain but it's no use currently itself.
Anycase, your income changes in 3 years, your lifestyle may change in 3 years, you may need better cards by that time.
Note: Views are personal, and one has to know where they're using particular card and how useful to them. What may not work for me, may work for you.
