Magnus Burgundy: Is it worth getting a new one in 2025?

I had a magnus until last year, which I milked completely and switched to Infinia after the devaluation happened.
I’m thinking of applying for Magnus burgundy as my secondary card via the salary method.
Wanted to ask your thoughts if it’s still worth it in 2025, especially for 30+ joining fees?

With Burgundy account based on salary (> 3 lacs), do we need to pay 30k+GST fee or it will be free till we maintain the Burgundy status? As per my understanding, it will be conditional LTF, until Burgundy status is maintained

That conditional LTF offer ended back in Jan 2024 and it has only been offered as fee only since then. They are not even giving Atlas conditional LTF now-a-days with Burgundy status, so highly unlikely to get Magnus Burgundy as conditional LTF.

Will the burgundy based on salary account will be an auto upgrade if one hits 3L pm net threshold ?

I was thinking the same thing a few months ago. Based on my spend patterns and usage, M4B is not worth it. Reasons is high fees and laundry list of exclusions. It would make sense only if I use it for everything instead of Infinia but then my net reward rate goes down.
I ended up getting Atlas. Now use Infinia and Atlas as combo. Any retail(in store) purchase goes on Atlas, exclusions on Infinia.

Me too. Same combination. I also use Amex Plat Travel on Mobikwik wallet. I could achieve 15 L Platinum milestone on Atlas.

Same dilemma for me.

I hold
1. Infinia metal
2. Amex Plat Travel.

Now shifting my job. So thinking to open a salary account and get a new premium credit card.

Cards in my mind
1. Axis Magnus Burgandy
2.Axis Atlas
3.HSBC premier
4.SC ultimate.

Primary Goal- Maximize Miles return for travelling. Aprox spends- 70k to 90k/m. Additional 30k to 50k for travel during some months. Also planning to buy a new car this year via credit cards(17 to 18 lakhs on road).

Secondary goal- to gain rewards points rent payments(~50K/month).
Considering to use Amex Plat travel via Mobikwik wallet and hit 4 Lakh threshold. Or get any of the above cards which gives rewards points for rents(not sure which cards gives RP).

Still doing my reasearch. TFC inputs will sure help me to go for best decision. Thank you.

There are two options I can see to pay rent
1. Use 'Pay rent' option on app. During payment , we can choose'Wallet' to pay.
2. Directly transfer amount to landord via UPI and use wallet money.

My question for both the options
Is there any additional fee charged(apart from fees for wallet load)?
Any limit per month or pe year?

I am in the same dilemma , but finally decided to apply for it as in year , my spend is 4 lac + for 3-4 months, where i can maximise the reward on M4B vs other card which i am holding (Infinia/Atlas/Amex P Travel). So i am going for it.

NO.

Take yourself back a few years, this card was offered for FREE.
With a lot more perks.
With a lot lesser annoying staff and rules.
With a much nicer version of the bank.

But you're a few years later and now you want to pay 30K for this card with a bank that might not even offer you RPs for legit transactions? No thanks.

Yes, the annoying rules of the bank is resisting me to go for the Magnus card.

Go for it. 24% return on axis travel edge platform itself will recover the charges in a quarter with you travel expense.

I have to book air tickets worth 2 lac in current month , so can you please guide how many points i can earn on travel edge portal ? i dont have any other spend in this month , Am i eligible for 5X reward points on 1.5 lac through travel edge portal ?
