If you've some specific property in mind with good redemption value and you're getting good bonus ,might be worth it for you

While buying I will value at 35ps only. That's my personal opinion. Because all the times you won't get Marriott properties at 40-50ps.

if buying you have to buy at a discount, around 33 paisa

I think on the RML group there are buyers at 40 paise and sellers at 50 paisa.
Maybe even the same person doing arbitrage.
But I have not verified this

Not sure about this, usually marriot points can transferred,
Otherwise you can book from your friends marriot account, if your friend has plat charge and Bonvoy Gold, you might get some benefits as well

If i recollect correctly, one can only buy 10K Amex points in a year.

If you meant 50-60K Marriott points, then Marriott allows points transfer between accounts on the Marriott website.

If the account is one month old, you can transfer upto 100k points between Marriott accounts in a year.
