U can’t transfer Amex points. Tell ur friend to transfer Amex points to MB. Then transfer the MB points to ur MB account using the point transfer tool. You can transfer up to 1lakhs points in a year
So will I get points/cb if I Use Marquee or SBI CB CC for the purchase.
He just made an account 🥲 so it'll take 30 days to transfer to my account maybe I'll purchase the points that seems a better alternative than directly booking....
Can you or someone please help me with the terms and conditions for transferring points? Customer care says the account should be 30 days old and have "qualifying activity." What does that mean? My account is 30 days old, so that's not an issue. But I don't understand what "qualifying activity" is. My friend will transfer points to his MB from amex, and then transfer them to my MB, customer care says he can't transfer those points to me. I want to book a hotel in Dubai for my parents using points so I can save some money. but now this seems to be a headache 🙁.

What is Qualifying Activity?
- Your Account must remain active in Marriott Bonvoy® with Qualifying Activity to retain Marriott Bonvoy® Points you accumulate.
- If your Account has no Qualifying Activity for 24 Consecutive Months, your Account will forfeit all accumulated Marriott Bonvoy® Points.
- See 1.6.d. of the Loyalty Program Terms & Conditions for examples of Qualifying Activity (not a complete list, but the most common):
- Examples: Completed Paid Stays, Completed Marriott Bonvoy® Points Redemption Stays, Marriott Bonvoy® Points earned through co-branded Credit Cards, Purchasing Marriott Bonvoy® Points
I'll look at the terms and conditions for transferring points that you provided. But I also want to know if my friend can transfer points to me that he has redeemed from Amex. Please let me know if you have any idea...

No, but based on information you shared earlier where you mentioned
shared the activity that satisfies 'qualifying activity' (this I'm aware because that how we keep points without expiry).
- You and Your friend accounts should be 30 days old
- You and Your friend accounts must have 'qualifying activity'
- If both satisfied, then your friend can transfer points to your account (provided your friend still within applicable yearly limits quota).
Account Status: Both Marriott Bonvoy® Accounts must be in good-standing and have each been open for at least thirty (30) days with Qualifying Activity or ninety (90) days without Qualifying Activity.
- If you reach any of the below maximums, you will not be able to transact until the next Calendar Year.
- Maximum Transactions Per Month: Two (2) Transfer Transactions (giving or receiving) per Month.
- Maximum Transactions Per Year: Six (6) Transfer Transactions (giving or receiving) per Calendar Year.
- Maximum Transfer Amounts: You can transfer up to a maximum of 100,000 Marriott Bonvoy® Points, per Calendar Year, to other Accounts.
- Maximum Received Transfer: A Member can receive up to a maximum of 500,000 Marriott Bonvoy® Points, per Calendar Year, from other Member Accounts.
