is it worth? people are saying as they not get 1 rs value per point at most of the time. any input will help here.

Tried my luck in few Singapore hotels and the value I am getting is around 50ps. I am not sure if US+West European regular hotels (not exotic ones) are available for 100ps+ .. can someone confirm?
Based on my experience, for US you can expect an average value of around 80ps for regular hotels ( Residence Inn, Springhill Suites, Fairfield )

I usually book with points when I travel overseas. One advantage of booking with points is that you don't have to pay any additional amount towards taxes. Points redemption includes taxes.
Does that mean that for domestic hotel bookings when booking is done through points one has to pay additional amount towards taxes using cash?

Doesn't points redemption for domestic booking cover taxes ?
