Hi everyone. My brother missed paying his CC bills on time.

Amex Platinum Travel. Due on 22nd June 13500. On 28th June he paid 14000

Citi Indian Oil CC, Due on 29th June 4500. On 5th July he paid 5000.

He is worried about CIBIL getting affected and late charges. Can someone share insights on this? What's the best possible way to rectify the mistake?

cibil will go down as banks will report it as a late payment,
just tell him to repay it on time henceforth it will go back up
also tell him to write an email to the bank requesting them to not report this to cibil.
if it is a genuine reason like emrgency the banks may consider and not report it

As far as CIBIL is concerned, the commit statment was issued, there is no rollback ( in the Informtaion Technology terminology ..).
Means can't do anything about it and be punctual in the future the score will climb back slowly but steadily ..
About late fee, contact respective banks' Customer Support..
All the best.
