I made a reservation using Agoda in July 2022 for a hotel room booking in September 2022. After the check out Agoda was supposed to give me a cashback reward. In November 2022 I got the email from Agoda asking me to initiate the cashback which I did. But there has been no sign of the amount on my ICICI Amazon pay card.
Agoda claims that they have transferred the amount. They have provided an ARN number asking me to check with the card provider. ICICI bank is refusing to refer to the ARN number and is stubbornly stating that the amount was not credited.
Now Agoda is asking for a letter from the provider explicitly saying that the cashback was not received. But ICICI bank is refusing.
Any suggestions friends?
I am very worried with the way ICICI bank is handling this. I have had citibank card for 15 + years and they had been excellent with customer service. I have had situations like this and they hand hold me all throughout. But ICICI bank customer service pales in comparison.
