I applied for an Axis Magnis credit card online on March 20th. Got the application number - let's call this AP1.
Got a call next day (21st March) from the nearest branch manager, says that an agent needs to visit for KYC verification, also the application would be approved/rejected within a day. The KYC guy verified my details, he had them within some Axis portal. Took 2 month salary slips as soft copy. At last, he took my signatures on some paper application form too.
I get a text next day (22nd March) with another application number - let's call this AP2. I'm suspecting the branch manager of some fishy business.
The applications AP1 and AP2 are still in 1st step of process on axis credit card application tracker. I called up customer care, they said wait for 10 days. If 2 cards come to you, cancel one of them. They said they can't take any action against anyone.
Can someone help me with 2 things:
1. Will there be 2 credit score enquiries wrt 2 applications? Also if I receive 2 CCs - cancelling one would mean a credit score hit too right?
2. Who can I report this to?
3. Can I expedite the process?
Any suggestions, help welcome. Thanks!
