Hello,
I would be looking for your help and suggestion for my credit card portfolio for 2025.
The following credit cards are currently that I'm holding for over 4 years and my annual spend is around 30-35 lakh. It is mostly on flight tickets, hotels and international spending. Mostly I'm interested in cards giving lounge access and having airline/hotel point conversion option with good return on spends. My current ITR is around 65 lakh.
1. Sbi vistara prime
2. Icici emeralde plastic
3. Diner black pvc
4. SC ultimate
5. AXIS magnus, horizon and miles and more
6. AMEX Reserve

All these cards and paid and I'm comfortable paying annual fees but limiting or not over 15k (including GST).
Would really appreciate it if I can get suggestions/advice on which cards are good for the upcoming year and which card can be closed/applied or upgraded this year. Also forex markup plays an important role for me.

Hello,
I would like to know the best credit card that I can use for paying insurance premium (around 4 lakh) in coming months and if any credit card payment that could be considered for milestone benefit if any. The main concern is some insurance premium payment like for Hdfc Life now started charging extra for premium paid via credit card. Currently the cards I'm holding are
Amex travel platinum and platinum Reserve
Diners black plastic
Magnus and Horizon and
SCB ultimate

Flight tickets + hotels+ international shopping, cabs, etc = 30 lakh

Other spends(dining, bill payment, insurance premium, etc) = 10 lakh

All these cards are paid and I'm comfortable paying annual fees but limiting or not over 15-18k (including GST).

Would really appreciate it if I can get suggestions/advice on which cards are good for the upcoming year and which card can be closed/applied or upgraded this year. Also forex markup plays an important role for me.

Cancel:
ICICI Emeralde (if not LTF)
SBI Vistara Prime
SC Ultimate
Axis Magnus
Axis Horizon
Axis Miles and More
Amex Reserve

Upgrade any Axis Card to Axis Atlas.

Spend 4lk on Amex Plat Travel (spends which do not get rewarded on any of your other cards)

Route all of your Gyftr/Utilities spends through HDFC DCB. And foreign spends via the DCB through Global Value Program

All of your other spends on Axis Atlas

The perfect 3 Card collection. Might also add Axis Neo/MyZone as a LTF UPI card if you need one.

Amex MRCC is also something you can consider for 20k every month.

In the future you could also consider Axis Olympus for your forex spends.

I would have spent 10L on dcb and upgraded to Infinia; if spends from next year are also 8-10L+.

Rest all what @Pissant said. Although not sure how good GVP would be on dcb given its low acceptance.

I had a word with Axis representative and he said only Axis Horizon can be upgraded to Axis Atlas card. I have an HSBC Premier account and have been offered Premier credit card by HSBC which I'm not sure to opt for. Planning to pay 4 lakh insurance premium next month using Amex Plat travel.

What’s your rent?
Hsbc premier cc gives 3% even on rent (exc 1.5% rent charges maybe)

Yeah go for Atlas and Premier too since it will be LTF

GVP on Dcb pvc? I only knew GVP for Infinia customers. I spent almost 6 lacs in December and January on flight tickets and hotels on Dcb pvc but my limit on Dcb is only 8.00 lakh. I need to increase my limit on Dcb along with spend of more than 10+L? Should I keep a target of upgrading my Dcb pvc to Infinia in coming month?

Thank you. Will check with my RM for HSBC Premier Cc. Also for Atlas as the Axis representative did call me on Saturday for a follow up on my decision to upgrade to Atlas from Horizon and I did inform him to give me 3 days to check the benefits and get back him. I have also asked for upgrade of ICICI emeralde metal from pvc from my RM last week but no reply since. Will it makes sense? Main reason to hold and use ICICI emeralde Cc is because of my limit (29.75 lakh) and less forex markup though very poor rewards and I've a wealth account with icici bank.

How are you able to hold so many premium CCs from multiple banks? Dont they all require TRV or salary?

I sent a manual LE increase form to the nearest Hdfc bank branch along with the documents they requested for my Dcb Cc 10 days back and I received a msg from Cibil regarding hdfc bank inquiry an hour ago almost.
