Issue Resolved My Detailed Journey to Getting the LTF HDFC Swiggy Credit Card

I was intrigued by the benefits of the HDFC Swiggy Credit Card, especially the Lifetime Free (LTF) option. While checking on two of my mobile numbers, I noticed:
  • Phone No. 1: Showed the Swiggy LTF offer.
  • Phone No. 2: Did not show the LTF offer but was linked to my HDFC savings account.
I applied using the number where the LTF offer was visible but soon faced complications.

2. Application Rejection
My initial application was rejected. HDFC informed me that the mobile number linked to my savings account differed from the one used in the credit card application. This mismatch caused my application to fail.

3. The Floater Credit Card Request
To bypass the issue, I requested HDFC to issue a Floater Credit Card based on my existing Millennia Credit Card. However, they still couldn’t process my request due to the mobile number mismatch.

4. Updating Mobile Number
To resolve the issue, I contacted HDFC and requested a mobile number update in my credit card application. They provided two forms:
  • Mobile Number Update Form
  • Address Declaration Form
I quickly filled out both forms, attached the required documents, and sent them back via email.

5. Floater Credit Card Application
After the mobile number update was completed, HDFC sent me another form for the Floater Credit Card. I filled and submitted this as well.

6. The Waiting Game
The process took time—about 45-50 days from the initial application. Finally, after one week of submitting the Floater Credit Card form, I received confirmation that my LTF HDFC Swiggy Credit Card had been approved.

7. The Approval and Arrival
The card issuance notification arrived, and within 7 days, the card was delivered to my doorstep.

Did you apply through Swiggy App or HDFC website?
 
We wish to clarify that Swiggy credit cards are not being issued as a floater/dual credit card currently, as per the internal credit policy and guidelines of the Bank. Hence, your application could not be processed as you are an existing HDFC Bank credit card holder. We regret the inconvenience and seek your understanding in this regard.
