[Need Help] PhonePe SBI Card SELECT BLACK application rejected for no clear reason

I just applied for the PhonePe SBI Card SELECT BLACK via the PhonePe app, and entered my employment details and completed my instant KYC using Aadhaar and online bank verification (although they only got my Aadhaar verified via DigiLocker but never made me do the online bank verification by making any ₹1 transaction), and then after getting a text message from SBI Card team regarding my application submission, I instantly got to see a screen within the PhonePe app that my card application has been rejected “due to internal policies”. I also tried tracking the application status on the SBI Card website but I’m getting the “invalid application number” error.

Has anyone else also experienced this? How and when can I re-apply for this card and get the application approved?

FYI, I already have the SBI Cashback Card (paid) and a savings account with SBI.

My friend had been rejected initially, but through a known contact of mine, he got it approved. They asked for latest 3m salary slip. It was his 7th card and I was sure he was not overleveraged but for some reason unknown to me, his application had been rejected. He got a decent limit of 130k as well. To conclude, if they feel you can get the card, they will give. Otherwise you don't even get to know what happens if it goes to reconsideration mode.
Bro can you help me also get the card via your known contact?
 
Does anybody know what exactly being “overleveraged” means?
The ratio between your total unsecured credit limits on all your liability accounts (eg, credit card CL, PL etc) and annual income

If the ratio is above 1.5, it is definitely overleverage situation as far SBI is concerned..
Sometimes between 1 and 1.5 is also a borderline overleverage situation..
Preferable to have less than 1 for safer application process..

I got this response today from SBI customer care after reconsidering my card application. But there was no CIBIL hit. I wish they had checked my CIBIL as i reduced my card limits already.

Got to know it’s due to overleveraged profile.
After that have written back with my Salary slips that I’m not overleveraged and SBI should reconsider my application. They said they will come back by 1-Nov on reconsideration and final decision.
So wait and watch for now

It was most likely because of Over-leverage issue that we , about 80 % of us ,are facing

For me they told me they would get back to me with the final decision by Oct 14th but they didnt. I emailed them again and their response was like it is taking longer time and they have no update on it. They asked me to wait 21 working days for their final decision.

I'm like come on guys.... just to give an approval for a card, they are taking these many days.... wow!!!

btw, when did send your payslips to them? is it already a month?

Even I'm looking for this. But unfortunately found no one who got their card approved after having overleverage issues
They rejected the reconsideration application saying overleverage hence can’t issue.

They rejected my application as well but this time with no reason given but just internal policies and details not matching. I questioned them to provide the reason and now they are asking time until until November 19th and my application still in progress.

What a joke this is!!
