This is my history:
I'm holding Honda Active first version and still going good. No regrets on it so far. Its been 15years and my RC got expired and don't want to renew it further.
So wanted to take new scooter.

My requirement:
Mainly for commuting within my area. Mostly 10/15kms (or less than this) daily. But my area has couple of hills/downs where i commute frequently.
Occasionally i go to office on my scooter which is 12kms away.
My wife also learning to drive and she also can use it in future.
I have a kid of 5yr old and usually we all go along frequently within my area or sometimes for malls/movie theaters etc. So pillion comfort is important.
I'm okay not to have smart features. Planning to use it for long like 10/15years once bought.
Build quality must be above average or good. Metal body preferable but fiber also okay if its good.

I'm in dilemma to choose EV or Petrol scooters. Suggest me on this which is best according to my usage.

Petrol Scooters explored:
Suzuki Access 125
TVS Jupiter 125
TVS Jupiter ZX
Honda Activa 125

EV scooters explored:
Ather Rizta
TVS IQUBE ST
Bajaj Chetak Premium/Urbane

EV bikes are rocket pricing. I'm not sure how much i can utilize of them. My budget is ~1.2L on-road price.

Note: Please reply in english for better undstanding.

Petrol anyday without a ounce of doubt unless u r too woke

Go with Jupiter(check TVS service centre before hand) or Activa. Can also consider bikes like TVS Raider, Honda SP 125 or Hero extreme 125.

Go with Petrol than EV, for ev give it more 10 years to get well established

What is your weight? If you are going as two people and if weight is above 180kg then I m not sure of performance. Battery power is used more in EVs I feel.
I m using ather 450x for last 1 year and I use it for 25km Max on a single day if I use. Minimum will be 8km during week day . I feel there is no maintenance needed. I only spent 10rs per month for filling air and for 1 year service of around 820 I suppose. I don't remember exactly

My weight is 72kg. Yes, i too observed when pillion is there, pickup and riding performance is not good in EV bikes. I observed this on TVS IQUBE S when i took test ride.

Iqube might not have the necessary torque or power. I have tried ola and it's torque surprises the pillion.

What's your typical mileage? Unless you ride 10-12k kms/ year, evs are totally out of questions.
If you ride more then comes the question of electricity charges in your house/charging station, expected cost of battery replacement.

under normal usage For economic reason ice>>>ev. ( for environment ice>>>>>>>>>ev).

Choose between Jupiter & activa. Jupiter is Slightly better. But most important factor is service quality. You already have experience of activa. I would suggest visit near by service center and talk to some Jupiter users. Jupiter has good comfort and double stand is very easy to engage. This could be big advantage for your wife.

You can also keep on using old activa for your grocery runs. Problem is insurance without valid rc is invalid. Anything can happen even in slow speed. Damage to old scooter won't be painful, but 3rd party coverage is must. So better check scrap policy for your scooter. this is very useful in case of cars, not sure about two wheelers.
